It’s a great scent match for that iconic Mario red, but not really for the character—but that’s a small nitpick. Aside from the Question Mark block bath bomb, the Mario shower gel is the star of the LUSH X ‘Super Mario Bros. Overall it’s a nice shower gel, it smells fresh as advertised and if you want the nostalgia of Nickelodeon slime, or absolutely love apple scented products then I’d say go for it. movie trailer seems to show a pretty straightforward storyline: Mario needs to help Princess Peach fight Bowser.

The animal-friendly brand is not exactly associated with either movie licences or tech tie-ins, so the idea of Mario shower gel or Princess Peach body spray came as a shock. If you love Lush and/or if you love Super Mario Bros then I think the collection is worth checking out. Today I’m going to be talking about and reviewing the items I purchased from the new Lush x Super Mario Bros. Sure, Luigi’s apple-scented shower gel doesn’t leave me feeling fresh, and the Power Up Block saw me undoing my previous hour of Mario-themed relaxation with cleaning. Thankfully, the deep caramel scent of the soap is satisfying, and while it’s a controversial opinion, I like glittery soaps that leave you a little sparkly.

The fresh handmade cosmetics company, Lush, is releasing an exclusive product collection ahead of Nintendo + Illumination’s new animated action comedy The Super Mario Bros. There's other non-yellow bathing and shower products part of the collaboration, like a Mario-themed cola-smelling shower gel and a Princess Peach body spray. Since their creation by Lush co-founder and product inventor Mo Constantine 30 years ago, bath bombs have made waves in bathtubs all over the world. The design overall is very cool but, as you can see from my picture above, the white isn’t exactly on the question mark on the block.

I do wish there had been more in the collection and that the Bowser and Princess Peach items weren’t limited to the Shower Jelly consistency. NOTE: after scrolling through posts from people on Instagram it looks like the colours that come out of the bath bomb (after the yellow) changes depending on which block you get. Perfectly pink and packed with peach juice, this skin-softening shower jelly is filled with the power of soothing seaweed and mood-boosting litsea cubeba.

The fresh, mouth-watering notes of peach and pineapple create a tropical fruit medley reminiscent of sweet, sandy shores. Watching my Power Up Block fizz away while eagerly anticipating my Mario-themed soap made me, honestly, feel like a kid again. If you're wondering when the next Mario game is, Shigeru Miyamoto responded to the question with an open statement. We were desperate to put mushrooms in the product, we were all obsessed with the Mushroom Kingdom environment,” sighs Morton.
