The first two films inspired the equally successful Batman: The Animated Series, which won multiple Emmy awards. Some people rate Batman Forever and Batman and Robin poorly although I do not quite agree with such low ratings. Keaton Plays Batman again this time with the Penguin(Danny Devito)Max Schreck (Christopher Walkden)and Catwoman (Michelle Pffiefer), Line up for a wickedly twisted tale set against the Dark and Gothic Burton Gotham city.

It is true that Batman and Robin is probably the weakest movie in the set however, I think it is still entertaining and I appreciate the old-school special effects. Pamela Isley falls victim to mutated plant DNA when things go awry in a jungle laboratory funded by Wayne Industries.Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology, also referred to as simply the Batman Anthology, is the original four-film series of Warner Bros. The streets of Gotham City are no longer safe for criminals, who are being picked off by a masked vigilante in a rubber suit - dubbed 'Batman' by the press. First he begins a warped campaign to become Mayor, helped by millionaire businessman Max Shreck (Christopher Walken); next, he undertakes a mission to murder every first born son in Gotham - a plan which will avenge his own beginnings.

The films started with their first release in 1989 with Tim Burton's Batman, starring Michael Keaton as the title character. Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology, also known as the Batman Anthology, is the name of the tetralogy of Batman films set in the Burtonverse that were produced by Warner Bros. I won't claim that all 4 films are classics seems to me that the level of Tim Burton involvment over the 4 movies is uncannily mirrored in the quality of the movies. In 'Batman' (1989) the streets of Gotham City are no longer safe for criminals, who are being picked off by a masked vigilante in a rubber suit - dubbed 'Batman' by the press. They built actual sets and used props (instead of using blue screen/CGI effects which, sadly, is the norm today). I may even go so far as to say that he may be better than Michael Keaton although Michael Keaton was awesome as Batman. This outing sees Val Kilmer take on the lead role of Batman and the arrival during the film of Chris o'donnel as Robin.

The Caped Crusader cleans up with the help of his new side-kick Robin in this effects-laden thrill ride. However, I also think these movies are also great in their own way and they may not be as necessarily as dark as Nolan's films, they convey the comic book feeling better. Meanwhile, the caped crusader is joined in his fight by new sidekick Robin (Chris O'Donnell), whose trapeze-artist family have recently been slain by Two-Face.
