To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Just recently bling-bought F black from Ferragamo because I heard it was a well-performing, peppery, masculine scent. The profound and sensual duo of ladbanum and tonka bean echoes the masculinity of the warming heart notes and leaves a fascinating, aristocratic trail! That first like 15 minutes of the fragrance it was kinda rough almost animalic fruity smell, and it turned me off at first, but the kicker was 100% this intimate soap 🧼 smell comes through, and just kills the game for like 5 hours on skin, like it creates a bigger and bigger projection actually as it dries and as you move. Which leaves this fragrance defenseless in the "Ring" -against similarly styled (office friendly House signatures); like the superior YSL L'homme, Guerlain's mojito-inspired "Homme", or heck, even "Bvlgari Man" !

I'm very surprised that I don't detect any pepper in this one, It's more or less like a sweet, crispy luxury soap/ shaving foam type of vibe. From the moment I first encountered this fragrance, I was captivated by its unique and invigorating scent. Yes, you will get that occasional whiff up to four hours, but not that lasting power that you get throughout the day.I once thought of getting rid of this fragrance but then realized how big a role this plays in my arsenal. I find the opening to be harsh and offensive, which surprised me mindful of all the hype this fragrance has received over the years. I’m wearing it today and can pick things out more than a few years ago and will definitely keep it around. In fact, before I looked up the notes I swore this had cardamom because it reminded me a lot of La Nuit which I own but am very underwhelmed with. My mind is having trouble comprehending what's occurring- the smell is nowhere near similar to warmer temps.

Very spicy lavender and sweet apples, smells kinda soapy at first but gets really warm at the 20 minute mark. mind blowing is what i can describe in one word, its very different frm the frargrance which r routine in the market. I suppose the real difference between the two is that F Black does last a litter longer, but big deal if this one smells better. I originally bought this from Ross, broke in a few sprays of it during the fall ending the summer months then traded F Black with my father for a fragrance that I don't regret trading him for and I'm quite happy that I get to pass it off to him for him to enjoy! To sum it up, I asked several women which they prefer, two of the three preferred the original because they like the deep notes in men's colognes and not sweet notes. From a distance it's the freshest fragrance you'll find anywhere, but when you get closer, you can detect the warm spiciness. F by Ferragamo Pour Homme is a fragrance for a man full of passionate energy who captivates without attracting attention.

TL:DR, if you want a longer lasting and cheaper Chanel Allure Homme, get this, BUT let it sit for a couple of months. If I could think of something that would match this scent, it would be a silver Mersedes-Benz E200 y 2003 with those minty car tree fresheners.the apple and pepper notes in accord with the lavender and labdanum creates something that is fresh but very soothing at the same time. I had a small 10 mil dropper bottle of this back in 2012 and I remember wearing it every night out on the town in Tokyo and the local bar scene, back then this was more than just a few notes or whatever it like blew away all the other cheapies. It's not as masculine or loud as F Black; it's softer and still has that Ferragamo quality/longevity to it. It is soapy, but the sweetness and crispness from the Apple and tonka really combine well with the heavy lavender note.

For those who say that this scent smells like maxipads I can say that this is a men's fragrance and we are not suppose to know how a maxipad smells.

So masculine, I like the pepper and sweet on the opening, then it sits so well on the skin with a woody musky scent. The spiciness of cardamom, coriander, and black pepper are definitely there, and the apple isn't fruity so much as another sweet scent when blended with the lavender.
