FlexiSpot carved itself a well-deserved reputation in office furniture, one that it consolidated during the pandemic and the lockdown when everyone scrambled to get hold of the best standing desks and all the best office chairs. The at-home worker deserves comfort, flexibility, and the right kind of lumbar support, which is exactly what the Flexispot BS1B Back Support office chair offers down to a tee. When it comes to selecting which Herman Miller to go for, however, the decision is a little trickier. It took me a number of tries to move the seat to the precise place for the screws to, well, screw into place. K. version doesn’t come with this lumbar support, but every other feature appears to be present in both BS1B chairs.

The recline function is excellent and is fully synchronised with the chassis, and has three lockable positions through 90 to 135 degrees. The wheels are indeed noiseless as advertised, but although Flexispot claim they’ll do no harm on soft flooring, I’d still be cautious if you’re worried about marking your floor; the wheels are still vinyl-based as far as I’m aware, and rubber casters tend to be the safest.More often than not, people will turn their noses up as they don’t have the skills to complete the job.

It’s got great back and neck support, as well as foldable arm rests so you can decide whether or not you need somewhere to put your elbows while you’re working. Otherwise the Admiral Office Chair really has it all, tilt tension with four levels of resistance means that the back remains supports. The Freedom Headrest’s innovative design doesn’t include any levers or dials for adjusting height or alignment; instead, it lets physics do all the work. The back rest is an interesting design in that has inbuilt lumbar support which is in this case not adjustable but very comfortable and gives a good level of support to your lower back without overextending that area. When it comes to adaptability, the Mfavour Office Chair has you covered on all fronts, and the best part is, it offers these comprehensive features without breaking the bank. Starting with the seat cushion, a saddle-inspired design that’s 10cm thick, with pressure-relieving contouring, and working up to the padded armrests and ultimately the height adjustable headrest that’s curved to help support your spine, the brand has taken care to put as many ergonomic features as possible into the chair, helping to support your posture and your comfort at your desk. I have an old version while it works, the lumbar support is not the best and the head support gets annoying after a while.
