The manufacturer recommends this toy for ages 3 and up, though we feel this is a bit of an overreach. The weight limit is 110 lbs, so most older teens and adults are disqualified right there. So long as the child is willing to have an introspective focus and explore how their body can move, the toy will likely suit them. Meant for only hard surfaces, the toy will continues to function as a means to challenge balance while on carpet, but the suction cups won’t make any popping sound or provide any traction. There is a greater chance of children injuring themselves while on carpet, since the toy may slip out from under a standing child.
