We are very fortunate to live where we do and to be able to share it with like minded people is a joy. The market towns of Beverley and Driffield aren't far away, whilst the coastal delights of Hornsea and Bridlington also make for lovely outings. With free private parking, the property is 16 km from Buxton Opera House and 19 km from Victoria Baths.

This is our 2nd stay in this wonderful cottage, which is in a great location opposite the Brook House Inn, with 2 other pubs close by. Having read the reviews before booking we knew we going somewhere special but Lane End Cottage exceeded our expectations. A 5-10mins drive away you will find the Propellor Inn overlooking the light aircraft airfield - awesome food and friendly staff. The three-quarters-of-an-acre garden surrounding the property is bursting with vibrant plants and flowers, which make for a wonderful stroll in the summer or simply admire it from the comfort of your private patio with a glass of wine in hand.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated. Continue on to the first floor to discover a double room with built-in storage and its own basin, allowing you to get ready for an outing easily; finally, the family room with a double and 2'6" single bed, which has nautical elements and is suitable for family groups, is located on the second floor. Along this beautiful stretch of coast are a number of beach cafes and the Crab and Lobster pub at Forelands.

So many positives; peace and quiet, lovely area, stunning garden, resident birds and Steve and Angela, who've always made us feel welcome. If you are concerned about the potential impact of Covid-19 on your holiday plans, outside of legal restrictions, we strongly advise you to seek out travel insurance which covers you in these and other eventualities. Beautiful cottage in gorgeous surroundings, it was spotlessly clean and was a cosy home from home, we enjoyed lighting the fire each evening and feeding the birds in the garden. The interior is dotted with delightful floral features to bring a real homely feel; kick back and relax in a number of welcoming spots, including a warming sitting room dominated by an attractive stone fireplace with a woodburner, a smaller reading room for some quieter downtime and a light-filled conservatory looking out over the gardens.

Once a delicious meal has been prepared here, bring it through to the living/dining room, where seating for all the family awaits, as well as a sitting area hosting a toasty electric fire and TV for you to retreat to afterwards. Lovely welcome from hosts who really cared that we were comfortable and cosy and had everything we needed. A bit like our cottage in Scotland but there we have a few caravans and a pub rather than houses LOL. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and plenty of storage space. With four bedrooms and a spacious living room together with a beautifully maintained secluded garden it is perfect in whatever weather conditions the isle of Wight offers.

However,my wife has mobility problems and was not able to get out of the bed without help, due to it being a low bed. Thank you both so much we were glad you got to see so many different kinds of birds including the chickens! Thank you so much for your kind words and we are really pleased that you had a lovely time and hope to see you again some time in the future.

The house had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday- plenty of room inside and out for 3 children. This is a fantastic setting for a family of seven's seaside holiday, with far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside, Abersoch Golf Course, and the distant sea, as well as plenty of parking and gorgeous gardens. When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc. After your dose of undulating countryside, walking and cycling, you may wish to head to the coast, nearby there is a choice of wonderful seaside spots including Seaton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. We loved our stay in the cottage as we had previously visited Bembridge over the previous years and we love it there. Watch out for your satnav as even when we thought we had rerouted ours south of Windermere to AVOID Hardknott Pass - it somehow how took us there anyway! Our host Lucy who was fantastic from start to finish with great knowledge of the area and tailoring the smaller details to make our stay even better.
