As above, I cut the remaining 2 studs off, drilled with several carbide bits, and used M8 bolts to replace them. This repair kit will allow you to grind off the old top hat section and remove the damaged flange and re-weld the new stainless steel top hat section on. The correct grade of stainless that we have selected for the application will ensure a lasting repair.The heads of the studs on mine were welded to the cat flanges- from the quality of the weld, I'd say it was factory, as it was VERY clean. Simply grind off the old flanges (often they will just fall apart) slot our new flanges in to place and fasten.
