To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The drama behind the celebrity wedding in the present tense, the visuals my mind conjured when the floral meetings were described, and Elliot just being *cough* Elliot were all strong aspects of the novel.

He is immediately enamored with her and fumbles with how to catch her as she flies in circles around him during all of this wedding planning. The only catch is the florist, Elliot, is someone she had a romantic relationship (but not a Relationship you know? Overall, in a nutshell, if you're after a light and uncomplicated second chance romance, this book fits the bill. She was so grounded in reality but also had that extra spunk and confidence and wittiness that we all wish we had.I was hoping that maybe Ama is gonna explain to him why she was conflicted on the day he asked her to marry her and you know, full-on confessions, but there was none. Sometimes I feel like she blew into my life like a hurricane and barely left me a second to catch my bearings. as the story followed its wake we witness the context in which that conversation happened or why that innocent comment was made in the first place.

Also, this is said to be an enemies to lovers and I wish that had lasted a little longer as well as getting more moments of their past together but nonetheless still very much enjoyed the moments there is of both. there were some fragments of their past relationship drawn as memories here and there in the present chapters. But with a mother who has been married more times than you can count on your fingers, Ama has decided that marriage is not the route for her. This had the potential to be amazing because the moments they did have together, melted my heart but there weren’t enough of them to get me fully invested. She had insecurities about marriage because of how her mother got married 16 times and everytime her mother left her marriage it broke something inside her.She is a musical theater geek, fandom nerd, and the author of many spicy fanfictions as Lovesbitca8, including the popular fanfic The Auction. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. The relationship wasn't developed at all—they like to bone and good for them but why do they actually like each other? Ama (not short for Amateur—thank you very much, Elliot) Torres is a wedding planner that doesn’t do commitment and sees weddings as just a party. This book is 95% about planning a wedding, 4% their past relationship, and 1% their current relationship, and that is not an exaggeration.

I mean, the first time Elliot appears on the page, I was HOOKED, and all he did was say Ama’s name over the phone.

I enjoyed that the characters were developed and their flaws worked well for their character and the overall story.

That's not a bad thing but I'm confused why that was done so much instead of just taking or ripping them off.In a year when wedding planning novels seem to be the latest trend (and I should know, I have read a few recently) this tops all of the others and definitely one you should read. He’s very creative, HE HATES DONUTS, and he seems so unfeeling but it is a ploy because he is squishy inside. As the wedding day approaches, we go back and forth with a dual POV to find out what really happened between Elliott and Ama - and if they can work together one last time. Second chance romance trope is one of my many favourite trope because of angsty and heart-aching moments between the main characters. If someone has this on kindle and can look up how many times it says donuts for me I would 🫶🏻 you forever haha.
