Description

I'm a true introvert and never been one to run with the crowd so although I had vaguely heard of Fearne Cotton I don't follow social media or adhere to the cult of celebrity.

I could have rushed this book and finished it in a day, but something about Fearne's voice makes you want to slow down, relax and savour every moment. If you (like me) borrowed the audiobook via a library app, it's likely you didn't have this pdf easily accessible. I found Fearne’s approach really enlightening, she is down to earth and it’s a little like listening to a friend. But most likely not: depression strikes when you least expect it, often because of genetics, and honestly, as pessimistic as it sounds, I doubt there is much you can do against it.

Determined to break loose from the taboo of mental health, Fearne opens up about her own fight with depression, how she managed to keep it at bay and how she continues to improve herself. I love the layout of the book and how it focuses on different parts of your life / body / mind, which all inevitably come together to create happiness. It made me focus on my life as a whole and how I control my own world while also learning about other peoples struggles. This book is a way to release what's going on inside your head and to keep heading towards the good stuff. With a very busy life and work life, I do find it hard sometimes to keep up with everything and even keep up with myself. Fearne is an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust and also a patron for Post Pals, Tyler’s Trust and Coppafeel! In this chat with Fearne, Michelle talks about her disciplined work ethic, as well as how she’s learnt to cope well with the amount of rejection in her industry.

Es la primera vez que me vuelo partes de un libro porque literalmente no hay nada que me genere interés. There was a couple of good ideas in the book but I can't imagine personally that this book would be very helpful for anyone suffering from depression but it does have a lot of good reviews. I'm glad I bought the paper version of this book - the cover is really beautiful and there were many pages within the book to complete small exercises with words or pictures. With expert advice from the Mind, along with ideas and exercises, delve into the journey of happiness as Fearne invites you to try it out for yourself! In our busy 2017 lives that are constantly fuelled by Instagram envy, bad Tinder dates and increasingly outrageous politicians, it's nice to go over the basics of simply being happy. How much happiness she takes in the simple things, like being with her family or cooking a meal for a friend. Mental Health charity 'I recommend this for anyone who's looking to find true consistent happiness' Craig David"This book is a way to release what's going on inside your head and to keep heading towards the good stuff.
