On our CertHE in Counselling and Counselling Skills you will be able to reflect on these and other questions, and practise listening and responding skills in the classroom. A 15-credit module will mean around 150 hours of learning, including taught sessions and independent study or group work. The course is designed to support learners that are using counselling skills as part of their functional role in a wide range of sector areas, or can be used as a foundation if you are looking to progress towards accredited counsellor status with one of the counselling professional accrediting bodies. The CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies (CST-L3) qualification is for learners who have already acquired some counselling knowledge and skills from studying CPCAB's Level 2 Certificate In Counselling Skills (or its equivalent), and now want to continue their training. Our Foundation Degree and Diploma of Higher Education in Counselling have been developed in partnership with the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).

It may be possible to transfer these credits from your previous study to Birkbeck or another institution.
