We can all freely have a relationship with the Creator of the universe who loves and knows us more than anyone ever could, but only through repentance and belief in Christ. I heard of some doctrinal issues in the 90s , regarding the sonship of Christ, things that have been turned from long ago. We are actively addressing them and are working on a new version of The Study Bible app on all platforms. I would like to see the font size of the text be at least 11 to 12 point font and and the study note font size be at least 9 to 10.

When you purchase “John’s Notes,” they will be available on every device where you’ve signed in to the app with your Grace to You account. and therein offer what is clearly stated as their personal insights, direction and opinions are not important and valuable. He only mentions the term about 3 times in his magnum opus, and almost always, if not always, in a dismissive way. Scripture instructs us not to "judge" one another but charges us with the discipline of discernment.While there definitely aren't as many notes compared to the NT, I think the OT notes are not quite as skimpy as you suggest.

Second Read (2024): My parents' pastor recommended reading the Bible in a year and then a friend sent a link to an audio version of the ESV Bible being posted for free on Spotify. Consider this statement: "[The gospel] was an offer of eternal life and forgiveness for repentant sinners. I highly recommend this for all Christians but especially those who grew up in the church knowing the stories well but maybe missing the cohesiveness of the entire book. In my opinion, unfortunately, these teachings can still be found in the revised book and in subsequent books and materials.

This second edition of The MaArthur Study Bible is fully updated, redesigned and expanded from the first edition. My only regret was that at the time it was only in the NKJV, and I prefer the NASB, which they have now come out with. book, cover and text all in fine condition, binding tight and square, no damage, no DJ, , text clean and unmarked name of PO on presentation page, family pages unmarked, 2102 pages plus maps. I started on a 90 day plan and even though I got behind, I still proceeded everyday to the next reading regardless of how much I missed.

So I find myself gravitating more towards my Windsor text edition KJV from the Trinitarian Bible Society. While not the most linear, this method for interacting with the text was enjoyable and something I managed to stick with.easy-believism teaches that saving faith is simply being convinced or giving credence to the truth of the gospel and does not include a personal commitment to the person of Christ. The Bible itself is wrapped in a beautiful light brown goatskin that feels supple and is incredibly flexible.

This belief has been critiqued by Reformed scholars/pastors (and other Dispensationalists like Zane Hodges) as promoting a type of "works salvation. I've read a lot of his books, and this is just an excellent guide when wanting to discover the history behind the scriptures. Updated with 40% more in-text maps, charts, and diagrams that illustrate the meanings, themes, teachings, people, and places of Scriptures. I still think the Spirit of Reformation Bible has slightly more pointed notes but they are pretty close. Although several Study Bibles were a big help to me when I first started reading the Bible, I find that I don't use them much anymore unless I have a particular question about a text.I didn't read the whole thing, but notice how the article defines "saving faith" in such an unclear way as to suggest "surrender" or "personal commitment" (man's work) is part of "saving faith"? The HCSB Study Bible is another good one although it is more broadly evangelical and somewhat less Calvinistic than the ESV Study Bible. What I really lacked was historical context for confusing passages, and that is a strength of this study Bible.
