I am not sure why this is categorized as a white floral, since to me the ylang ylang and mimosa really evoke more of a sunny, cheerful yellow floral feeling. It is a luminous perfume that carries a message of happiness, a true example of how to transcribe happiness and the explosion of happiness; of a summer evening on the edge of the Mediterranean. right now it has dried down to a simple floral type of scent yet on my skin the projection was so weak, at first sprary, it was super strong however not polarizing as some might say.

I sprayed three times at 6am (forearms, hair, and neck/shirt) and can still smell it wafting around me at 6pm!Today I paired Vera Bradley's Vanilla and Sea Salt to add some sweet to the spice and earthy brine (sea salt) to the wood.

Amarige for sure is a juicy, syrupy and honeyed white and yellow flower concotion for the eternal goddess in all of us. I don't know if my nose has changed, or my body chemistry, or it's been reformulated, but it's not the powder show I remember from years ago.My father was a jazz musician and he was having a true revival in the 90s, playing all over the SF Bay Area, at venues such as Yoshis. She had asked me the fall beforehand if I wanted anything for Christmas, one big gift is what she can afford. This unique fragrance combines top notes of bright and sensual with neroli, mandarin and violet which come together to create a scent that is long lasting.

If Amarige were released today by Tom Ford or Ariana Grande (or Ex Nihilo or MFK or whomever the affluent youth fancy) it would be hugely popular among the under 30 crowd (not that it actually isn’t still popular in general because I think it’s a top seller online). Gladly I didn’t have to work around her much but when I did my tolerance for headache was truly put to a test. I grew up in sunny South Africa and first smelt this in my local pharmacy just after I got married in 1990. I'm actually consistently surprised by the things people complain about, and I actually think that this is elegant, tasteful and lovely!I smell peach and orange blossom in the opening with tuberose jasmine gardenia and a light spice which could be the carnation I smell other florals but these stand out to my nose,I then get vanilla sandalwood and amber with some woodiness. In theory, this is an absolutely stunning fragrance — lush jasmine, tuberose, gardenia, some faint woods. I can't pinpoint any particular notes in this one cause there's plenty but I can't say for sure it smells fantastic, sofisticated, expensive and its a definite head turner. The catalyst for intervention was a night I got arrested, caught out late while she was out on a date, hanging out in Hollywood at Swingers Diner with a guy twice my age.
