About this deal

Margaret is portrayed as a caring and loving wife to Henry VI who will do anything to make sure her husband is taken care of and their young son is strong. It maintains the high standard of rich detail and immersive action with a whole new level of characterisation and a depth of feeling that actually makes you feel like you've got your feet figuratively on the ground next to the character themselves rather than hovering slightly above them watching the action.

On the hand there's, Richard, Duke of York, starkly opposed to this weak King, and he will start spreading unrest and rebellion at home, in an attempt to destabilise his King. That there were no simple bad guys, just people caught up in the events of history, their inadequacies, old feuds and building/ retaining family titles and lands. It was released in the UK in June 2006, reprinted a month later, and was voted British Book of the Year at the Galaxy British Book Awards. There were quite a few scenes where the amount of gruesome details made me cringe, but I wanted to read more. Winter 1461 – Richard Duke of York is dead, his ambitions in ruins, his head spiked on the walls of York city. This book is so engaging and it keeps the reader wanting more, so he included a side story that is equally entertaining. De Enrique VI de Lancaster a Enrique VII, primer rey de la Disnastía Tudor en Inglaterra, constituye el convulso periodo histórico que comprende esta serie de Novelas. Also, at his point, I do hope this series ends at a strong point of the conflict because at the moment I can’t really see at what point on the timeline it could be concluded. Apparently, Henry, Edward, and Richard were the in-vogue names for 15th Century English nobility, making lineage a bit tricky to follow.

In 2010, media coverage emerged of a proposed film, Emperor: Young Caesar, about the early life of Julius Caesar, covering the years from 92 BC to 71 BC, and based on the first two novels of Iggulden's Emperor series, The Gates of Rome and The Death of Kings. In 1437, after years of regency, the pious and gentle Henry VI, the Lamb, comes of age and accedes to the English throne.

Here it's scene, scene, scene, mega long scene, mega long scene, scene, tiny summary, mega long scene. His Lancastrian queen rides south with an army of northerners, accompanied by warriors from the Scottish Highlands. I’ve always been a fan of Conn Igguldens style of writing, but this book is a new step in my opinion, one i wasn’t aware of the source until i read about his personal loss, something i think that has infused a certain extra depth and emotive layer which when coupled with the dramatic and extremely descriptive action packed style he has, makes this truly and exceptional book. an example being - the spymaster character of Derihew Brewer - started of with bravado when facing down the Duke of York (Boo hiss! it is also curious how the author would handle writing a bunch of main characters who do not look very heroic or capable right now. It’s been said that Game of Thrones is the Wars of the Roses written as fantasy: this is the real thing, more glorious [and] more passionate. Add that rich vein of superb characterisation to a mastery of weaving various threads of characters into an over-arcing tapestry of a story, teasing and manipulating the reader so expertly that you end up actually rather caring about what happens to the characters. The brilliant retelling of the Wars of the Roses continues with Trinity, the second gripping novel in the new series from historical fiction master, Conn Iggulden. I take my hat off to Conn Iggulden for writing a great book and kicking me off to finish the series.

Mainly focusing on periods in history, he brings a level of detail to certain periods that give the eras a firm sense of grounding.Along with two of his best friends, he forms a band of armed farmers, who then march all the way to London, and sack it. The British author Conn Iggulden is largely known for his historical fiction, along with his fiction and fantasy novels as well.
