Friction smells like a pina colada on me which makes it one of my favorite summertime scents for I find it very comforting/refreshing.

At first, wearing this perfume was like wrapping myself in a coconuty cashmere blanket on the beach, and there was no hint of anything sour. I would not have expected a creamcicle drydown because I did not detect that at all upon the first hour of wearing it. It's pleasant and inoffensive but there is no lasting power and in disappears in five minutes on me. It starts off smelling of pineapple, coconut and I get a bit of banana too, and then it gets creamy, I get vanilla, coconut and that hint of banana and pineapple is still there. Straight out of the bottle, one spray whisks you away to the hottest summer day on the beach, sipping the coldest pina colada imaginable.I do prefer this bottle design over the other wedge shaped FCUK flacons, but I still feel the top of this diamond cut bottle a little awkward to use. Something about the pina-coladaness of this makes one's brain detect pineapple and rum in this by association of the vanilla coconut. But I don't think I will repurchase as I have two other perfumes in the same style (Pepe Jeans for Her and Diesel Loverdose Red Kiss) and the coconut (which is the only difference between this one and the former ones) is not strong enough.

Setting wise, this works for the casual girl, but could easily be worn for a night out (especially in the warmer seasons) but is pretty and light enough that it suits an office too. It does stay close to the skin and it might not hold for too long, about 2 to 3 hours that I can detect it. As I got to my car, I ripped open the package like it was Christmas Day and actually oohed at the bottle. It's nothing groundbreaking or complex but a good perfume for those warm summer days when you just want something light and carefree. And because scents reveal your essence, you'll receive recommendations that fit your olfactory personality like a glove.The coconut ingredient so clearly evident and prominent in this fragrance almost smells like 'Reef suntan oil'. I thought of Axe deodorant or something because this one note really ruins the lovely notes of everything else that is good in this frag.

On me it is gardenia-coconutty then develops a banana Hawaiian tropics pina-colada scent then bam gone. Very Pina Colada with the Pineapple note shining through from first spray to Drydown, the coconut leans the furthest in the back for me with the florals coming through strong with the pineapple. I also think this would work really well on a hot day straight out of the shower as I don't find it cloying or heavy at all. Which thankfully dissipates quite rapidly and quickly matures after an hour or so into a MATURE fragrance.

There's a slight masculine edge to this that I find common in some of the more cheaply made fragrances. Projection is not crazy and am seeing how long it will last but regardless i'm glad I scooped this little gem up. It's a teeny-bopper gourmand but I'm no teeny bopper so I'll pick my moments carefully when I wear this. The perfume smells really pretty, it's a soft coconut and vanilla mix with a nice sweetness from the sugar. To me, there are a few moments right out of the bottle that lead you to believe the fragrance could journey into hot, sweet mess territory, but they fade quickly, and I find this one so extremely sexy on the drydown.
