About this deal

Having now grown to such a degree my husband has not taken over and is the proud owner of his own business, 'Love Wood' in Reedness. We at Incredible Edible plant fruit and vegetables in public spaces across Prestwich, Whitfield and Radcliffe. We have a big enough garden, but most of the "edibles" are quite obscure to find and seem difficult to grow. It strives to engage with schools, local farmers, and businesses by sharing knowledge and passion for food growing and cooking. In the UK, the success of these collective groups has directly influenced policies on both a local and national level.

It offers step-by-step instructions, giving you the confidence to grow some unusually tasty crops; from the well-known turmeric and goji berry, to the more exotic cucamelon and strawberry spinach.

There are lots of people who have walked this journey before you, ready to share their learning and local networks meeting together to inspire and build each other up. Whether you're new to grow-your-own and determined to make the most of limited space with a truly gourmet harvest, or a seasoned grower looking to spice up the kitchen garden with brand new flavour experiences, Incredible Edibles has something for everyone. National Geographic Kids * `a fascinating and unusual approach to cookery' * Parents in Touch * `seriously funny and hilariously informative book about food' * Richard and Judy * `fantastic funny food book with outrageous ingredients' * Flipside * Appealing to kids of all ages, this will have budding scientists in fits of giggles and your kitchen in a bit of a mess.

The project aims to bring people together through actions around local food and community allotments, helping to change behaviour towards the environment and to build a kinder and more resilient world. Lives lived in connected communities, built out of the power of their own will, their own imagination and grown through the power of small actions. By 2012, the Incredible Edible Network was formed to help manage and sustain existing groups as well as inspiring new ones. This is a really interesting book, hardback, well written and plenty of easy explanations for a novice to understand, and very colourful with pictures of how your plants should look stage by stage. The group meets regularly at Todmorden Unitarian Church and manages plantings and other food producing projects throughout the town.

A total of 207 events have featured the Incredible Edible, and the organization currently collaborates with 11 other groups, including councils and nonprofits, to enhance their work. The food is nice, the staff are friendly, and the diner is good; however my only criticism is the wait for food. Work at the moment involves preparing the beds for planting, sowing seeds and growing and harvesting them. The form was then placed in the unit and baked into a rubbery soft candy in the shape of worms, insects, and flowers among others, coming in six flavors: licorice, mint, butterscotch, cherry, root beer and cinnamon. Local residents, led by Pamela Warhurst and Mary Clear, came up with the idea in response to increasing global concerns over climate change, food sustainability, and community change.Having trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, Matthew Biggs is affectionately known in Britain as the People's Gardener.
