He was fully clothed in dark cigarette pants and a matching cashmere sweater that highlighted his insanely muscular physique.yes it's long and for some people, it may drag, but i really enjoy long books (zodiac academy and binding/keeping 13 girls will get it), and this was a slow burn at its finest. I normally start my reviews with the tropes, but this book… it’s so much more then any trope you could catagorize it under. and simply couldn't turn off his protective instinct and the desire to take care of her even when he did his best to convince himself that he gave zero fucks about Charlie. the story before the big revelation about Kellan's suicide letter and manuscript (if he were real he'd bitch slap me from Hell for not saying "final letter" instead).

he wrote beautiful stories that he would leave on his father's desk for him to see and appreciate, but little did he know that his own father, drunk and blacked out of his mind would steal his manuscript and publish it as his own.

This was a slow moving, slow burn, emotional kind of read which got its hooks into me straight away! My only tiny complaint with this book (and why it wasn't a full 5 stars for me) was that sometimes I felt like all Charlie and Tate had in common was Kellan and their complex emotions surrounding him. even tho it was always planned he was going to commit su*cide, i’m so glad that he got his happy ending in his own story bc he truly deserved to be happy and loved! yeah they might not have said the words and all they did was kiss but i know in a parallel universe (or in the novel that kellan wrote as darling venom) they both get the happy ending they deserve in each other.
