It is an engaging storing starting off with a humorous section where Miles Morales answers some of the most popular questions he has been asked since becoming Spider-Man (and which provides a reminder of his abilities and back story) and moves into a story about what happens when he is involved in trying to raise funds for relief of an earthquake in Puerto Rico whilst investigating the disappearance of the father of one of a new student at his school. This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally). It doesn't feel shoehorned in though, and there's still plenty of action and humour as Miles tries to find the balance between his home and superhero responsibilities.

Most of my complaints come from the fact that I'm not the target audience, and this is clearly meant for younger readers, I just wish it could have been more universal with its appeal. Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. His debut novel published by Katherine Tegen Books was an Indies Introduce selection, a School Library Journal Best Book, has been translated in seventeen languages, and is being developed for film with Paramount Players. He hangs out in northeast Ohio with his family, and is probably somewhere dancing terribly, or as his sister likes to say "doing the sports". Reynolds and Eisner award-nominated artist Pablo Leon create a riveting story that will connect with new and well-versed comics readers alike. My introduction to Miles Morales was the Into The Spider-Verse movie, but this graphic novel does a very good job of quickly bringing the reader up to speed on the relationship between Peter Parker Spider-Man and Miles Morales Spider-Man as well as the latter's origin and powers.

A true middle grade graphic novel starring one of Marvel's most popular characters, bestselling author Justin A.He is still getting used to his Spider-Man persona and the conflicting challenges he faces seem to have him spiralling out of control. Miles helps to organize a fundraiser for those affected by the quake, and while he is handing out flyers, he meets a new student, Kyle. a graphic novel written by one of my all time favourite authors, about one of my all time favourite superheroes/the best spider-man (and no, this isn't up for debate)? The theme of finding work, school, and home life balance is important to invoke in young readers, and also how you can find ways to help your community at any age.

Reynolds ( Opposite of Always ) and Eisner award-nominated artist Pablo Leon ( Refugees ) create a riveting story that will connect with new and well-versed comics readers alike. I enjoyed this book a lot more than I was expecting to, it serves as a great introduction to Miles Morales whether you've seen the Into the Spider-Verse movie or not.A arte da graphic novel de Kamala Khan também me agradou mais do que esta da novel do Miles Morales. Miles is so pre-occupied with balancing school and being a hero that's he's really neglecting his family life. You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot! An original middle-grade graphic novel from Graphix starring Brooklyn's Spider-Man, Miles Morales, by bestselling author Justin A. I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly!

Your selection was perfect for our children and what really made the difference was your ability to engage with each child, discuss their interests and help them to choose a suitable book based on your extensive knowledge of the books you were selling. The added complication is that he is also the ‘other’ Spider-Man, since he too was bitten by a radio-active spider. You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods. A true middle-grade graphic novel starring one of Marvel's most popular characters, bestselling author Justin A. Of course, it helps greatly that Spider-Man is such an iconic character, it's not too difficult to make him look good and Pablo Leon's illustrations do that admirably.

Miles Morales is a normal kid who happens to juggle school at Brooklyn Visions Academy while swinging through the streets of Brooklyn as Spider-Man. An original middle-grade graphic novel from Graphix starring Brooklyn’s Spider-Man, Miles Morales, by bestselling author Justin A. The arc I received from Scholastic starts off fully illustrated in color, then it switches to Black and white, and then it's rougher sketches. Entretanto, achei menos cativante, talvez por se focar mais na ação super-heróica e menos nos problemas comuns dos adolescentes super-herois.
