Personally i have 75% of the creatures in this Second Edition Bestiary Box as miniatures and only use pawns if i don't have enough of a creature or a reasonably similiar looking proxy. I give the idea 5 stars out of 5, but with the printing so dark with hardly any contrast I give it 2 stars out of 5. For Game Masters on a budget, this is the perfect starter set from which your players can choose the perfect pawn to represent their PC. When I opened this set, I immediately pulled out close to twenty pawns that will serve as NPCs for my current campaign. When passed around to new players, they all found the perfect pawn for their character right from this set. If you are looking to make your encounters more memorable, by using miniatures for certain "Boss monsters", Legendary Adventures is a very good set to start, as it contains a large or HUGE miniature in each booster.

The last fact is a big key to what will likely be in store for the Inner Sea Pawn collection. This is largely due to the fact that most of the inner sea pawns characters are either medium or small. This is also due to the fact that there are only 225 original pieces of art, as I already stated before. To give you an idea, there are 35 of them. Including the Adukhait Ashura, the deadfall scorpion or the Agash Div was a good idea since they're very specific creatures, but a skeleton, a ghoul or a babau demon? Much less attractive. There are NO "Fire Beetles" in here, nor in the B1 box OR the "Summon Monster pawn set", but you'll need 3.

The NPC Codex was largely made up of either small or medium pawns. This allowed Paizo to use the same amount of pawn sheets as the bestiary boxes.

Most of the pawn collections correspond with the contents of Pathfinder RPG hardcovers, such as the Bestiaries or NPC Codex, or with specific Pathfinder Adventure Paths. Kingmaker is the most popular AP of them all (completely sold out) & with the computer game coming out in 2018 (i think), i expect a lot of interest for a reprint, so maybe we'll get a full pawns set for that yet?
