About this deal

The wireless headphones by Skullcandy also have a long-lasting battery life that could be useful for a lot of frequent travelers.

The Aviator is designed with mobile use in mind. Like the Beats by Dr. Dre, they have an inline remote and microphone on the cord that will control your iDevice. The microphone is placed slightly too high on the cord to be truly comfortable and doesn’t feel as well made as the rest of the headphones but the remote works well enough. The cord is permanently secured at the headphone end which technically makes it more vulnerable than the Solo HD but at no disadvantage to the other headphones in the test. The cord itself is a pretty good length for portable and laptop use being long enough to allow some freedom of movement without requiring you to stow it with a wire tie. There are many existing differences between the Skullcandy and Beats products. Although both the companies were founded a few years apart, there are many signature contrasts between their line of products. If you are a hardcore audio junkie, Beats might be a much preferable option for you since their overall soundproofing, bass boosting, and technological aspects are superior to that of Skullcandy. If you’re the type to not believe in burn in, you’ll probably not give the aviators a chance. On first listen, the sound was to put it bluntly horrible. Muffled, slow and congested are the initial impressions I would give to them. But after even a few hours, the sound clears up considerably. Enough that I thought, hey they actually sound good!

Performance

Since Beats is a subsidiary of Apple, they get to use the proprietary Apple W1 chip that is highly efficient for the overall user experience. Beats headphones tend to be superior in build quality as they are built with high-end materials. The headband they provide is strengthened with a metal frame that makes it enduring under physical force. section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}} The Aviators don't sport bad audio quality, but it really feels like you're paying for the style effect. Both Beats and Skullcandy offer quality products at different price points for many customers. But Beats can be significantly pricier because of some of the premium and niche features it provides to its customers.

These are really comfortable. It doesnt seem like it would be because of the weird shaped ear pads but for me they are really comfy and i could wear them for hours. First up they are unique, bold and hard to forget without being cheesy or outlandish. I think full marks here to Skullcandy for trying something new out and actually making it work in the closed headphone segment. They look just as good in real life as they do in the pictures. They are a tad smaller and lighter than I had imagined and are not as sturdy as a HD25-1 II or Aiaiai TMA-1 so handle with a bit more care. The cups are made of really nice translucent plastic that look like they could scratch a bit easy and can be a dust or fingerprint magnet. Of course the cups when close together do indeed look very much like a pair of aviator sunglasses! Both Skullcandy and Beats are reputed brands offering some of the best audio products. Beats provide products that promote craftsmanship, quality, and brand value. Contrarily, Skullcandy offers products at different price points for a wide range of customers. Therefore, it is safe to say Skullcandy provides more value for the money options over Beats. With a smoother mid forward amp and better dac the increase in overall clarity is noticeable. The mids get even more forward while the bass quantity is decreased but can still slam/rumble at loud enough volumes. The vocals while already good before is now something special. The treble remains the same but the overall soundstage has gotten lot more spacious, making the e07k a bit congested sounding. It’s not warm sounding either unlike the eo7k,For lightweight and portable headphones, the best Skullcandy wireless earbuds are the Skullcandy Push Active True Wireless. These sports-oriented headphones have an ear hook design to help keep the buds stable in your ears while you're running. They have a comfortable fit and are rated IP55 for dust and water resistance. Thanks to their bass-heavy sound profile, the extra thump, rumble, and boom added to mixes can help keep you pumped up during your workout. Their companion app has a graphic EQ and presets if you prefer a different sound. You can also access Skull-iQ in the app, a smart feature that allows you to make voice commands. Skullcandy offers some of the most colorful headphones on the market. If you like to match your tech accessories to your outfits, they tend to have several color schemes for each model, including two or three-tone variants and camo/military color schemes. In addition, there are also a handful of standalone models available. There may have been additional variants or previous generations of this model available in the past, but now there's only one model currently available from this manufacturer:

When it comes to comfort, Beats has some upper hands over Skullcandy. Beats headphones are mostly a perfect fit for everyone as you can customize it using software and adjustment clips. In addition, Beats headphones feature heavy padding that enables you to use them for longer listening sessions.

Honestly my favourite right here (but it should be, considering how much the wa6 costs), it now warmer, bassier while being clearer and more detailed, offering the most dynamic sound yet. The mids are more inline with the rest of the sound which can be good or bad depending on your taste. We used the Skullcandy Roc Nation Aviators intermittently for over a week and have few complaints about the fit and shape of the headphones. The plush leather ear protectors create a loose seal that lets you hear ambient noise while also keeping your music between your ears with adequate sound isolation. The headphones are surprisingly light considering the stainless steel accents, and you also get plenty of room within the wide pyramidal-shape earcups to accommodate a range of ear sizes. Grind= Truly wireless in-ears with unique features like Skull-iQ Smart Feature support and hands-free voice control.
