A Single Game is the first book in the Irresistible Attraction series. Jase Cross finds himself becoming absolutely obsessed with Bethany Fawn. And why not? She’s feisty, she’s beautiful and she has a big attitude. But she’s also in mourning for her dead sister. The loss puts her into a bad place that has her drawing attention to herself in a bad way. A way that Jase doesn’t want for him or his family. I enjoyed every moment of this story in 3 parts and I was eagerly looking forward to seeing how the pieces would come together and everything would fall into place, and I do not know why but somehow this end inevitably reminds me of the beginning. Maybe I just do not want the story to end or maybe some questions remained unanswered .... Maybe some perspectives changed after reading this finale. Marcus, Cody and Delilah brought me so much joy and tears. They all are somewhat haunted by the past and are just trying to navigate through life. It’s always difficult to review such a book without giving anything away. I just want to say, what an ending! I wasn’t sure what to expect because of the mentions of Delilah, Marcus and Cody in other books in the Merciless universe. Everything has always been vague. Now that I know their story, I’ll have to revisit the other series.

Willow Winters delivers a suspenseful read that will give you chills as you read on the edge of your seat! I could not stop reading, and had to read through in one setting, dying with the need for more words! WHOA! The third piece of the puzzle is in place! I feel like I'm still processing these complicated characters, but I DID really enjoy their story. It was messy and complicated, but felt true to the dynamic between Delilah, Walsh, & the enigmatic Marcus. I like that the ending makes me wanna read the Merciless series now 👀. I hope the other H gets his own book too. Sigh. My heart is still racing and the internal conflict is ever-present. 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝐿𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝐻𝑢𝑟𝑡𝑠 is heart-gripping and full of intrigue. As always Willow evokes so much visceral emotion- she makes you FEEL- her delivery is like a well-scripted movie that plays out vividly scene after scene in the mind’s eye. This Love Hurts is a well-written, suspenseful story that will have you engrossed and at the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I've been anxious for this novel for a while now as I'm excited to find out who exactly is Marcus. While this story focuses mostly on Delilah and Cody, Marcus does indeed make a couple appearances and I'm left anxious for more. Some questions are answered and more questions arise as we go on this journey with these three individuals. The story was fast-paced and mysterious, filled with excellent world building, nail biting angst, fascinating characters and a well thought-out, layered and descriptive plot. The Irresistible Attraction series continues with A Single Kiss. Bethany should feel shame for not wanting this to end, but he doesn’t want it to end either. There is darkness around them and war. It is dangerous and there is a tangled web of lies for them to get lost in, but they don’t care. She only wants him, even if he’s her enemy because he’s also the only person that she can trust. Jase is a man who was born to be powerful. Now, she’s given him even more of it. And I Love You is the perfect conclusion to this wonderful trio of stories. In this one we get all the answers we have been longing for in this love triangle between Delilah,Cody and Marcus. But this story is not without some more twists and turns as we see Delilah coming to terms with her kidnapping. I understand that this is a prequel and am about to dive into the complete book. The author’s writing is superb, really well done but I found myself questioning what was going on.

Marcus, I love him. I mean he is a stalker, which automatically earns him extra brownie points from me 🤤🤤. I loved his story and how he became “Marcus” even though I did figure out the plot twist regarding him towards the end. Delilah and Cody have a growing chemistry throughout but one interaction with Marcus and Delilah's head is spinning. It's the more than worthy conclusion to this series, that's for sure. Although I wish there was some way to learn more about how the protagonists' lives go on ... after the end ... It has never been easy to let go of Ms. Winter's characters ... and this time is no exception.

Chronological Order of Forget Me Not Books

This story which is a love triangle of epic porportions is coming to an end. I don‘t even know where to start my review! Anyway... This one is a Prequel to a "suppose" standalone (or so I've been told, and now I know that surprisingly, this one is part of that long and connect chain of series and duets, but also can be read as a standalone). It's about a lawyer (Delilah), a FBI's agent (Cody), and some creepy stalker of both of them (Marcus). The first two has a long term work relationship, with a lot of sexual tension, that they finally acted on five years later, making the third person in this weird triangle, a little upset. After what feels like a lifetime of wanting to uncover the mystery of “Who is Marcus?”, we FINALLY get to uncovering the man in the shadows, the mystery that is Marcus. I should feel like I could let go now... only I can’t- because now I’m so in love with this broken man who very much a vigilante as he is a self-made 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙 𝑜𝑓 𝐷𝑒𝑎𝑡ℎ.
