You'll have 2 screws to secure them together. That said, it is a little wiggly so Corsair Angie's point should be considered. Three is possible feasible but even less stable. I wouldn't suggest it with platter HDDs. You could do it with SSDs though. It might be possible to rig a brace however - that would provide some stability and prevent the wiggling.

All-Around Easy Access: Two tool-free hinged side panels with simple and secure snap-on attachment, along with removable front and roof panels, enable easy access to your components. All the Storage You Need: Fits a multitude of drives thanks to 6x combo 2.5in / 3.5in drive trays and 4x 2.5in SSD When it comes to PC building, it goes without saying that cable management is very important and we want to take this opportunity to highlight the benefits of the RapidRoute Cable Management System that is part of the core feature set in the 4000, 5000, and 7000 Series cases. CORSAIR 5000D AIRFLOW with channel raceway and straps for proper cable management.

I would have liked to see bottom fan slots. In my current build, with a Supermicro M12SWA-TF motherboard and a NH-U14S TR4-SP3 cooler, the heatsink is oriented so that the CPU fans blow vertically. So in my Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 case, I set up the case fans so that I've got 2 exhaust fans directly above the CPU, and 2 intake fans at the bottom of the case, blowing upwards towards those 2 exhaust fans. Those 2 bottom intake fans are probably not essential, since I also have 2 front intake fans, but I like having them anyway. Colossal Cooling Potential: A massive interior accommodates up to 12x 120mm or 7x 140mm cooling fans, and makes it possible to install multiple radiators including 3x simultaneous 360mm or 2x simultaneous 420mm for extreme cooling. Control RGB lighting via CORSAIR iCUE software with this incredibly powerful iCUE RGB Lighting Controller, cutting down cable clutter with simple USB 2.0 pass through and SATA connections. Series – The 7000 Series expands the cable management and performance concepts to a full-tower providing all the fan/cooler mounting and internal space you need to build your next masterpiece! The HydroX RGB is going on the Commander Pro as well, as will the fan PWM (via 2 PWM Hubs) and the temp sensors in the loop. In short - the Commander Pro is "in charge" of all of the HydroX control (Single Responsibility Principle).

Keeping Your Build Tidy

Here's the side fan tray with 4x 120mm fans installed. This is with the fans at the "lowest" setting, giving you about 22mm in the bottom for the radiator's end cap. You have about 8mm of play here ... so you can move the fans 8mm towards the top to get some more space in the bottom, up to about 30mm. This is made possible by the awesome support of the folks from Corsair, who provided a lot of the components used here. Their support is much appreciated! You WILL be able to mount fans in the side. You could also mount a 240mm radiator in the side on the 2 top mounting spots. On the front, you could do 240mm or 280mm. If you do a 280mm, you can't do a side radiator.

XD7 is mounted on the inside of the fan tray. It's an odd mounting. The fan fits best on the outside of the fan tray, which looks weird. The CORSAIR iCUE 7000X RGB full tower ATX case puts your build on display behind three tempered glass panels. CORSAIR RapidRoute cable management easily keeps your cables hidden from sight, while a massive interior enables a multitude of cooling options, including room for up to three simultaneous 360mm radiators and customizable side fan mounts that accommodate up to a 420mm radiator. Four included CORSAIR SP140 RGB ELITE fans deliver amazing lighting and concentrated airflow, controlled by an included iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT. Show off your components behind a tool-free tempered glass panel and add your own personal touch with a customizable windowed PSU shroud complete with a three-slot vertical GPU mount. With room for up to ten storage drives, a front I/O panel including a USB Type-C port and four USB 3.0 ports, and easy-access hinged side doors, you can build your magnum opus in the 7000X RGB.You'll use the PWM hub for at least 3 of the fans on a radiator, possibly all 6. Those will be controlled from a single port on the Commander Core XT. The HydroX Thermal sensor can go to the CoCoXT (from the XD7 - it comes with the sensor) as well as a single temp sensor for the case exhaust temperature. These would then be your two control variables for your fans. Each Drive Cage is about 6 1/2" L x 4 5/8" W x 4 1/4 H inches. Because of the overlap when you combine them, two of them is about 8 1/4" tall. Smart RGB and Fan Speed Control: An included CORSAIR iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT Controller, CORSAIR iCUE Corsair 7000 Series Cases / HydroX Options : This is an ongoing list of different configurations with HydroX and the 7000 series cases. Three-Slot Vertical GPU Mount: Put the spotlight on your graphics card with a vertical mount on the PSU shroud, big enough for today’s most powerful graphics cards.
