Description

Elenora's Betrothal - King Arthur dreams that Elenora will one day run Camelot. He must marry her off to prevent such a terrible thing. Rancid is determined to win her hand and therefore Camelot. Sadly, Will's rescue plan depends on Sir Gadabout winning a duel. Only a miracle can save her. He’s the keenest pupil and he tries as hard as he can to learn to fly, roar and breathe fire. But every year the gold star eludes him when his valiant efforts end in mishap and a kind young girl with medical ambitions finds him and patches up his bumps and bruises. Then in Year Four all the young dragons are instructed to capture a princess. The themes explored in the story - at one point Princess Pearl administers vaccinations - might lead you to think it was created specifically with the pandemic in mind, but you'd be wrong. The book was in fact published three years ago, but its relevance today is striking to say the least.

Published: 6 October 2020 These Donaldson and Scheffler productions are so magical, it’s a joy to be able to lend my voice to such fun and beautiful animations at Christmas. Zog’s continued story is one of teamwork and empowerment, things we all need more of these days. — Sir Lenny Henry In Camelot Sir Gadabout is a nightmare of the Round Table as his devotion to the task of protecting King Arthur is undermined by constant blundering. He is often teased by the other knights, particularly the handsome but irritating Sir Lancelot, who Gadabout and his friends frequently try to get the better of. Martyn Beardsley lives just outside Nottingham. As well as writing children's books, he loves reading and writing about history, almost any period. He gets many of his ideas for stories when he's taking his mad dog for a walk early in the morning. Martyn has written over fifteen books: Five Naughty Kittens and The Dog that went Woof, the Sir Gadabout stories, a couple of ghost stories and some history books for children. For adults, he has written one historical biography, a book about England's last duel, and edited the diary of an eighteenth century surgeon-apothecary. Martyn Beardsley has lived in Nottingham all his life. A civil servant for many years, he is now concentrating on his writing career. As well as being a children's author, one of his great passions is history. In 2002 he published a biography of Sir John Franklin, the Arctic explorer. A committed Buddhist, he is interested in reading, sport, keep-fit and yoga. Martyn Beardsley is married with one daughter and a mad dog.

Music Played

The kingdom is terrorised by the terrible twosome Sir Rancid and his "Nanny" - a comical version of Sir Mordred and his aunt Morgan le Fay - who are set on destroying Camelot and the Round Table. Their attempts to destroy Camelot are always stopped by the intervention of Gadabout, Will, and the mysterious "Sir Knight". The only one who knows the identity of "Sir Knight" is Merlin, who watches over Camelot in his crystal ball. Sir Gadabout: The Worst Knight In The Land is a British children's comedy television programme, broadcast on CITV. It originally aired between 11 February 2002 and 9 May 2003. In 2007, the show was repeated for the first time on the CITV channel since 2003. It was repeated for a one-off repeat one day in the Easter holidays (as an 'Easter Surprise!'). Then in the summer holidays from late July to the end of August. Over a year later in December 2008, it was repeated again throughout the Christmas holidays till January 2009 and again from August 2009 to September 4, 2009, when it last aired. It's wonderful to have voiced the narrator in Zog for this Christmas. The story has a lovely lyricism to it and it's been really good fun seeing the beautiful animation come together. There's a cast of brilliant actors and the story is silly, and outrageous, and surreal, and I like all of those things!"

The book was written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Together Julia and Axel are the UK’s most successful picture book creators. Zog and the Flying Doctors was first published by Scholastic in 2016 and is the eighth adaptation by Magic Light Pictures of a Donaldson/Scheffler title for BBC One. The Ghost - Sir Gadabout sees a ghost but no-one believes him. Is this another plot by Rancid and Nanny to scare the Knights right out of Camelot? Or will the ghost scare Rancid and Nanny out of their wits? Sir Prise The Japanese foreign exchange knight who is a martial arts expert. He often jumps out of nowhere unexpectedly, scaring the other knights. His name is a play on the word "surprise". Played by Don Klass. It was nominated for "Best Drama" at the BAFTA Children's Awards in 2002. [2] and won "Best Children's Programme" at the INDIE Awards 2003.

Sir Lancelot – The pompous and "bravest" knight in the land, he is actually very shallow and something of a coward. He often makes fun of Gadabout although, in the end, Gadabout gets the last laugh. Played by Damien Goodwin.Master Will Watford - Originally Gadabout's squaire and Elenora's best friend who dreams of becoming a knight one day. He develops a friendship with Elenora's alter-ego "Sir Knight" and frequently helps him save Arthur, Gadabout and the other knights. Elenora becomes smitten with him but is unable to tell him that it is her as the identity of "Sir Knight" is a closely guarded secret. Played by Will Theakston. Zog (Hugh Skinner) is of course key to Princess Pearl's new calling, serving as her winged, fire-breathing air ambulance to help his friend and his not-quite-a-friend, Sir Gadabout (Daniel Ings), tend to their patients, who include a sunburnt mermaid, a distressed unicorn and a sneezing lion. Zog, the biggest dragon, was the keenest one by far. He tried his hardest every day to win a golden star. It's guaranteed to be a Christmas Day treat, so follow our guide below as we explain how to watch Zog and the Flying Doctors online free - stream Zog and the Flying Doctors wherever you are right now.
