Opening is cardamom and lavender with a big hit of leather. I don't really get any of the grapefruit note. In the dry down the cardamom is still there, you start getting a creamy sweetness from the tonka, sandalwood, and patchouli, and the leather note is ramped way up. You can easily get the LNDL DNA from it, but it definitely goes its own direction from the rest of the line.

Citrus notes of bergamot and mandarin combined with green apple form a fresh start. The classic fougere accord made of lavender, geranium and tonka bean, is modernized by the freshness of the opening, as well as orange blossom absolute and aromatic sage in the heart. Woody notes of cedar, cashmere, vetiver and patchouli, and a dose of quality vanilla end at the base.

I literally just tried this 30 mins ago in my local 'S' perfumery in France and my first impressions are certainly positive; The EdP is closest to the original EdT I'd say. During the first hour it's mostly the same smell as the original with some added cashmeran-like sweet smoothness that reminds me of D&G The One. Like an 80%-20% split between La Nuit de L'Homme smell and The One smell. During the first hour I don't get any leather at all but then it suddenly appears seemingly out of nowhere. It's a smooth leather, wearable as far as leathers go, I wouldn't be too afraid of it.
