Finally, from Volume 2, there’s Chapter 23-25. Mace appears without armor, but briefly flies his purple Ep3 starfighter. This might be the first instance of purple as his signature color, excluding the lightsaber blade, since his Ep2 starfighter was fairly generic ( 7868). Most of the clones he fights alongside are in basic white, and don’t seem to be assigned to him. What few unit markings I can see look like blue or red ARC Troopers. Also, I am not really into legends as I think that Canon is more worthwhile to know in terms of actual star wars geekiness. XD" This TX-130 Saber-class fighter tank model has hidden wheels for a hover effect, 2 elevating spring-loaded shooters, and a rear hatch LEGO® minifigures/figures for role play – Mace Windu with a lightsaber, 187th Legion Clone Commander with a blaster rifle, plus 2 187th Legion Clone Troopers and 2 Battle Droids, each with blasters The LEGO Group has been recreating iconic starships, vehicles, locations and characters from the Star Wars universe since 1999. LEGO Star Wars has become its most successful theme, with a wide variety of buildable models to excite people of all ages.

On an unrelated note IIRC the 187th trooper with the airborne helmet is the commander, I don't remember his name though. I'll look it up then edit this comment. Also includes 2 187th Legion LEGO Star Wars Clone Troopers minifigures and 2 Battle Droid figures, each with blasters What you really want to know from this review is whether the rest of 75342 Republic Fighter Tank is worth a slice of your LEGO budget, and the answer is satisfying straightforward: yes, almost certainly. It’s not the biggest Republic Fighter Tank, nor the prettiest, but it bests both its predecessors in at least one department, and for that it shouldn’t be overlooked – at least if only to see how the LEGO Group has managed to come up with a third completely different way to build this vehicle. Thinking of buying this awesome building toy as a gift for a Star Wars™ fan who is new to LEGO sets? No worries - step-by-step instructions are included to guide their fun, creative journey. Ever since 1958, LEGO® components have met stringent industry standards to ensure that they are compatible and connect consistently for robust builds. That would definitely be correct. Although Ponds had an unfortunate end at the hands of Baby Boba in Clone Wars. I was actually focusing on the naming convention for the 187 Commander, and why he might have been called Thunder, but I appreciate the reply nonetheless! Choosing to depict the purple 187th Legion Clone Troopers is interesting though, given they have a canonical equivalent. I presume the brown colour was considered unappealing." Also ( at least in terms of production) they are much cheaper for Lego to make, no printing or complex parts ( complex as in how minifig Torsos and legs have moving parts but as still one part).

Includes 6 LEGO Star Wars minifigures: Mace Windu with a lightsaber, 187th Legion Clone Commander with a blaster rifle, and more What we actually need more of is Super Battle Droids (they haven’t been in a LEGO set since 2015!), but we’ll take these for the easy, throwaway addition that they are. Mainly because the star attraction is obviously the Clone Troopers, and they go a long way to filling out the Republic’s rainbow army – Star Wars is inherently silly, remember – with detailed printing from head to (literal) toes. The TX-130 does originate from Star Wars Legends, but joined the modern canon when the vehicle appeared in Star Wars Battlefront II.

Build, play and display – This buildable TX-130 Saber-class fighter tank model measures over 10 cm (4 in.) high, 20 cm (8 in.) long and 16 cm (6 in.) wide The LEGO Group’s third take on a vehicle we’ve only ever seen in video games – we’re as surprised as you – also represents its third different scale, sitting somewhere in the middle of the last two. And by and large, that makes it not too big, not too small, but basically just right – at least as an adaptation of the TX-130 as seen in EA’s original Battlefront games from the early ‘00s, rather than the more modern version from the late ‘10s. You know, just in case this source material wasn’t niche enough for you. I am disappointed, not by how bad this set might look on first glance, but by the people who are complaining about everything, even the minifigure selection, which might I add is superb in my opinion for 2022. Putting in 4 actual minifigures alongside 2 battle droids? LEGO could've took the cheap way out and have a similar selection as the 2017 tank: Mace Windu, one 187th trooper and 2 battle droids. Surely simply knowing the information and being able to notice references that others cannot is good enough, or do you need that surefire satifaction from making someone look as if they are an idiot. PurpleDave - The Clone Troopers with brown markings originate from the modern Clone Wars series, rather than the Tartakovsky series."

Quite some of the fans that are complaining about the figs in this set are the exact same ones who have been asking for more clone unit minifigures? LEGO has absolutely delivered, and I think even though the tank looks overly disappointing, the minifigures are great. Dual-molding takes at least as much time for one shot as regular parts do for two, if you want crisp divisions like arms and legs. For stuff with a marbled look, like the original Bohrok faceplate, they inject all of the colors simultaneously, so no waiting for one color to cool before you can swap mold sections and inject the next color. Illustrated instructions – A step-by-step guide is included so even young Star Wars™ fans who are newcomers to LEGO® sets can build with confidence. I would love to see Ponds in minifig form, but I doubt that would ever happen since he was only in two Clone Wars arcs excluding the Windu assassination. Also random fun fact, we actually have the Lightning Squadron in minifig form!"Taken in isolation, though, does this set feel like it’s worth the dosh? On the whole, yes: it’s a pretty beefy (if brief) build, and there can really be no complaints about those minifigures. The larger elements probably have something to do with it, too… Did we need another one of these video game curios? Hard to say. Maybe 75342 Republic Fighter Tank is the epitome of something we never knew we needed, right down to its bizarre (but just a little bit glorious) purple Clone Troopers. Nobody asked for those – nobody could have, surely, given they’re about as obscure as Star Wars lore gets –but you already know you need to get them somehow. Quality assurance – LEGO® components meet stringent industry standards, ensuring a simple, secure connection every time Isn't the tank itself from Legends? It's not in any of the films or the Clone Wars show, so its not in anything still being deemed official"
