Dance of the Wailing Blade (Double, all Myrmidesh Painbringers): Add 1 to the damage inflicted this round by hits or critical hits. Just before the launch of the new wave of Slaanesh mortals, Games Workshop presented different tutorials to get ready as soon as you can put your hands on the newest models in town. After reading the coalition rules I found out you could give heroes access to artefacts from the parent allegiance, so I made another Beast Lord, this one using the Hedonite Godseekers “Lash of Despair” artefact: The leader and the Claw-Spear have access to Impaling Strike, an ability that for a Triple allows to do damage on charge (if you finish a movement within 1” of an enemy do as much as 6 damage). I much prefer their new warscroll because now I can be aggressive with the unit and have a consistent source of rend 2 on infantry whose damage output is effectively doubled from what it was. Do I think this makes the Banshee a power house? No not really, but they’re a much better harassment unit than they were (a low bar to clear admittedly). In addition, it gives me an interesting source of non-traditional magic defenses that can be effective even against megacasters with large casting bonuses like Lord Kroak that do large amounts of aoe damage.

Unfortunately almost every other new unit released in this launch have acceptable rules but atrocious points costs that makes them almost unplayable currently. points for 11 models. One of them doesn’t have a bow, and only a sword and the item that makes their shooting 4+ to wound into a 3+.If two of the dice show the same value, they can be used to activate a Double ability. If three show the same value, they can be used for a Triple ability, and so on. In the end it will depend on your personal preference, but you have several options available. Apart from the Lord of Pain ability or the one from the Blissbrew Homonculus, there are no other synergistic abilities, so when dividing the warband in the 3 groups you could have completely heterogeneous groups each specialized in something. Pros and cons of the Slaanesh Sybarites The Hag also has a more consistent combat profile. (not that you really want her combat anyway, but still) The Myrmidesh are the tankiest unit Slaanesh has ever seen. With Toughness 5 and decent wounds (20 and 15 respectively) they represent the objective holders, the guys that “can get the job done”.

The list and interactions – This type of list really wants to be one drop to decide who is going first due to how fragile the list can be and how close some of the deployments are. Zilfin allows the Frigate to become battleline helping to have two behemoths in a one drop list. After years of collecting, buying and selling, building and painting, we realised that we had amassed a small library of Build Instructions, Assembly Instructions and User Guides for various Games Workshop products. But where did the whip come from? Oh yeah, I bought the Start Collecting: Daemons of Slaanesh and Painbringers kits too, so I could add more bits to the mix. Using these kits, my next task was to find out how to introduce the Daemons into the mix without blowing the colour palette up even more. I started out with the Seekers and painted them in the Beasts of Chaos colours:

Is it unplayable? No, you can include this in your army and have fun with it in casual settings, but as someone who looks at units through the lens of ‘would I bring this to a tournament?’ the answer is sadly no, because I want to pay points for abilities I know will go off, not abilities that have a 33% chance to do ANYTHING round two, and 50% on round three. Not many battles with Nighthaunt are still undecided by battle round three, so why would I pay 150 points to give me an edge in long games? Craventhrone Guard The net effect is that the Hedonites battletome feels like it’s “copying the first book’s homework, but make it look like you didn’t.” with a minimal amount of effort to feel like something new. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing – both Daughters of Khaine and Disciples of Tzeentch are flavorfully similar to their previous iterations but include adequate updates for the environment they’re being put into. Meanwhile the Hedonites book went through several adjustments and got whole new units and should have felt much more well, new. Instead it feels like we have something dangerously close to being “Sylvaneth 2.0.” These inadequacies are even more stark when you put the book next to Daughters of Khaine. Let’s compare the two, shall we? To combat this, the decision has been made to publish the top three without comments. Where possible, writers will then revisit in the future to add comments if they feel its necessary. If you are searching for details there’s also a tutorial for a Golden Hedonite Armour, different skin tones and Slaangor skin and claws.

I’m sorry that this is the route we’ve had to take. The only other option in the shirt term would have been to stop producing top 3 articles, but we really didn’t want to do that. But how do the Dark Revellers play on the tabletop? There is nothing excessive in looking at their deepest detail. Overview and Points for the Fighters in the Slaanesh Sybarites Warband Brokk Grungsson – He’s sooooooo much fun and adds a little combat punch to the list to help finish off units that may have been left after some bad rolls. This is the top three AoS lists for Wargames for Warriors that took place in Utah, USA on the 20th and 21st of May. It involved 22 players vying to be crowned champion in a 5-game tournament. Short AnnouncementFive Crossboos won’t really have any impact on the game, but bumping them up to ten will take up one of your precious reinforcement points and cost 190 points, more expensive than the excellent Namarti Reavers or even the continually problematic Lumineth Sentinels. This, dear reader, is not a good unit. If you were desperate for ranged firepower, consider Chainghasts. Or, better yet, consider another army.
