Stability of temperature and humidity over time is often the most important factor to avoid costly and irreparable damage. SensorPush makes it easy to see changes to help determine and take the proper course of action when necessary or rest easy when all is well. SensorPush was created by Cousins & Sears Creative Technologists For calibrating humidity, the "salt test" is quite popular, and instructions can be found readily on the Internet. The chemical principle is sound and it can work quite well, but we find it to be difficult to execute consistently and accurately. First, Bluetooth must be enabled in your mobile device's main settings screen. The exact location of this will depend on your mobile device, but it'll likely be in a primary settings area, and perhaps in an area called "Connections" or "Wireless settings" or in its own area. It's often near the device's WiFi settings.

Once the settings are correct, it's worth rebooting the phone. Modern mobile devices' Bluetooth systems are increasingly complex and under demand from a wide variety of applications, even ones that you don't specifically think of as using Bluetooth. Because of this, it's not uncommon for them to begin to malfunction in unpredictable ways. A reboot helps make sure that the SensorPush app has a known good state to work with and eliminates a variety of variables and possible issues. In the Graph view, sensors are listed and can be toggled on/off by using the switch to the right of the sensor's name. Once toggled on, that sensor's data appears in one of two viewing options: "Layers" or "Streams." Now the phone will form a temporary connection to the gateway. This might take a minute or two.
