the flange sizing is interesting. This one comes with 22mm inserts for 26mm flanges. Most other pumps come with size 24mm standard they have a guide for you to find the right size The pumping phases and pauses are predefined which helps to simplify the process, but you can adjust the vacuum & cycle settings in the stimulation & expressing modes to your comfort at any time. Stimulation mode is the 3 droplets symbol and you can change the vacuum and cycles for stimulation mode to suit your needs and initiate a letdown. Unfortunately, it was not the pump for me, but it could be for someone else. I definitely think it could be a great pump to help direct feeders increase supply with the ease of the power pumping setting and for more occasional or less frequent use.

First things first, y’all, this thing has a power pump cycle, like what!?🙀 As a milk donor, I rely on a lot of power pumping. Typically 3-4xs a week. Guess what I forget a LOT during those times? Where in the power pump cycle I am. Not anymore! This pump takes all guess work out of power pumping, all YOU do is press a button! Make sure it’s hands-free! I am never “just” pumping. Whether it’s meal prep, working, getting ready for an evening out, tidying etc etc, simply being able to move around whilst pumping is in my opinion non-negotiable if you want pumping to become a part of your daily routine rather than it commanding your hours. Make sure it’s a double! It means halving your time spent pumping and in the midnight hours that’s heaven 🙌🏼It also has an automated power pumping feature which you can initiate through the app and the touchpad. It is the first pump to have this feature. This could be great for occasional pumpers if they need help increasing their supply. I’ve pumped approx 2000 times between Alfie & Arlo. Alf for 5 months, Arlo for 3 (and counting)! It doesn’t make me an expert but it has given me a good idea about what works, what doesn’t and how to make pumping a little less all-consuming!

This is absolutely the best pump I’ve ever used. Within just two days, I noticed a huge increase in the amount I was able to pump (I was six weeks postpartum and was pumping about 3 ounces maximum, but this went up to seven ounces!) This was without even using the power pumping feature, which I tried out to boost my evening milk supply. My baby was fussy and hungry every hour in the evenings for a while making me think my milk supply was low – I used the power pumping feature for three nights at 6pm and noticed a huge difference even between the three days. It has been two weeks and my supply is still plentiful at night! If you aren’t looking into power pumping you can simply switch to your regular pumping preference, with eight different vaccum and cycle levels! We used a noise meter in our lab tests to measure the volume for each breast pump set at the highest setting and pressed against the skin. While our mom testers were split right down the middle, reporting that the breast pump was either very quiet or somewhat loud, the Ardo Calypso Double Plus Breastpump is actually one of the quietest pumps we've tested (and we've tested most available in Canada). All but one parent tester reported that they were able to comfortably pump in the same room as a sleeping baby or partner without waking them up.Please note in regard to suction power/mmHg: In the US, the FDA apparently makes many pump companies to list their mmHg as less than 300 for some reason. For example, the Spectra S1 and S2 are listed as 270mmHg, whereas in Australia they are listed as 320mmHg. This is something to be aware of. I would also say be wary of a pump that does not openly advertise the mmHg.* Ardo Alyssa: The bottom line I’m towards the end of my pumping journey with my second kid, and this is seriously my favorite pump (I’ve tried at least 6 different ones including the more mainstream) and I wish more people knew about Ardo pumps! it’s fairly quiet. I mean, it’s not silent, but compared with some other pumps it’s much quieter. You can hear it in the video When it came time to remove filled bottles from the pump, our parent testers had no problems detaching them without spilling any milk, and a double bottle holder helps prevent accidentally tipping them over. While the Calypso comes with caps for the bottles, Ardo doesn't make nipples for feeding. However, Ardo bottles are compatible with Dr. Brown's standard nipples. One of the things our editors like about these bottles is the markings are raised plastic, so they're not going to rub or scratch off with long-term use. For the Scottish Highland areas, this may be a 2/3-day delivery. AB31 – AB35, AB41 – AB54, AB36 – AB38, AB55 – AB56, FK17 – FK21, IV1 – IV63, KA27, KA28, KW0 – KW14, PA20 – PA78, PH15 – PH18, PH19 – PH29, PH32 – PH33, PH45 – PH48, PH30 – PH31, PH34-44, PH49 – PH50. 2-4 Days: KW15 – KW17HS1 – HS9ZE1 – ZE3.

The Ardo Alyssa is a breast pump with phenomenal and revolutionary features that I wish more pumps had. First off, this pump is a complete game changer! It’s innovative technology and features are what makes it stand out. What’s even more exciting and amazing is how this pump has a power pumping feature like no other! If you are new or seasoned in your breastfeeding journey, Ardo’s Alyssa has everything you need, especially if you find yourself in a cluster feeding period. As Mommy of five previous and new exclusively breastfed munchkins, I have finally found a pump that doesn’t leave me feeling like ran a marathon! If you are considering getting a pump that is effective, easy to use and assemble, innovative, like no other, please look no further, Alyssa is the perfect personal pumping assistant! The automatic Power Pumping of the Alyssa is a predefined one-hour interval pumping consisting of three pumping phases and two pause phases. While the duration of the pumping and pausing phases is predefined, you can adjust the vacuum and cycle settings to your personal needs at any time.It is visually clear and uses bars to indicate increase or decrease in cycle or vacuum as opposed to numbers. (This could be preferred by some. Personally, I prefer some numbers and some visuals.) What’s in the box? I normally would give a breast pump a solid month before reviewing, due to the typical adjustment period, but Alyssa has blown my expectations out of the water, within the week and a half that I have owned it. I don’t want this amazing pump to sit without the review that it deserves another day!

Ardo doesn’t really love the idea of you using different third party parts with their pump, although I had to do this as I use 15mm flanges. I did trial their parts first. The Alyssa has been designed for the suction power (mmHg) to not decrease when you double pump. (Bear in mind the mmHg is quite low to start with.) The Ardo Alyssa is a pump with some truly revolutionary and awesome features, but there are some significant downsides to it as well. Here is an upfront Ardo Alyssa review. I think the think I really appreciate is that it seems like it was made with moms in mind using new technology. The Ardo Alyssa is a double electric pump with a closed system, which is really the main reason why it can be classified as hospital grade. Hospital-grade classification seems to have nothing to do with the power or capacity of a pump.
