Description

The iPhone 13 Pro was released in 2021, and it features a 6.1" Super Retina XDR display, the A15 Bionic chip and the Pro series three-camera system. The rear cameras include a 12MP wide and ultra-wide lenses plus a 3x telephoto lens; and on the front, you get a 12MP TrueDepth sensor with Night mode and 4K recording. The iPhone 13 Series now also comes with cinematic mode and photographic styles so you can customise how your camera captures moments. Personal Voice can be created using iPhone, iPad, and Mac with Apple silicon, and is available in English for all locales. Cameras have been upgraded too. The main wide angle lens now has a f/1.5 aperture, compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s f/1.8 aperture, capturing more light for improved photography.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max also introduce ProRes, 2 an advanced video codec used widely as the final delivery format for commercials, feature films, and broadcasts, to offer higher colour fidelity and less compression. 3 This powerful new pro workflow is enabled by the new camera hardware, advanced video encoders and decoders in A15 Bionic, and flash storage pipeline. iPhone is the only smartphone in the world to provide an end-to-end workflow — capture, edit, and share in Dolby Vision or ProRes. HDR, Panorama, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Bokeh Mode, Macro, Red Eye Correction, Burst Mode, Bokeh Effect Videos, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Stereo Recording, Depth Auto FocusiPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro can detect a serious car crash and call for help. Requires a mobile data connection or Wi‑Fi calling. iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be available in Graphite, Gold, Silver, and Sierra Blue in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and all-new 1TB storage options. Firstly, all Pro models of the iPhone 13 come with a display tech called ProMotion. This finally brings the 120Hz refresh rate goodness to Apple's flagships. For the tech illiterate ones out there, this means the Pro models will look doubly smooth as the screen will refresh up to 120 times per second to deliver silky-smooth visuals and the iOS will feel extra responsive because of that. Of course, you might also think to yourself: "Isn't this going to consume more battery life?" Well, normally, it would have. But what Apple have done here with this tech is that the screen only refreshes fast when it needs to - it's dynamic. When the on-screen content is stationary, so is the refresh rate. This saves a ton of battery life in return and is actively being used with the Apple Watch displays too. 13 vs 13 Pro: What Are The Differences? iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max support ProRes video recording in the Camera app at 1080p 30 fps with the 128GB storage option and up to 4K 30 fps with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.

With new sensors and lenses for all three rear cameras, optimised to work seamlessly with iOS 15 and powered by the new image signal processor (ISP) in A15 Bionic for improved noise reduction and tone mapping, the iPhone 13 Pro lineup features the best camera system ever on iPhone. The all-new Wide camera has a larger sensor with 1.9 µm pixels, the largest ever on iPhone, for less noise and faster shutter speeds needed across lighting conditions, producing even more detailed photos. Coupled with the larger ƒ/1.5 aperture, the Wide camera on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max offers a massive improvement in low-light situations, up to 2.2x when compared to iPhone 12 Pro, and nearly 1.5x when compared to iPhone 12 Pro Max. Sensor-shift optical image stabilisation (OIS) — unique to iPhone — is available on both models, stabilising the sensor instead of the lens, so images are smooth and video is steady, even when the user is not.All battery claims depend on network configuration and many other factors; actual results will vary. Battery has limited recharge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced. Battery life and charge cycles vary by use and settings. See apple.com/uk/batteries and apple.com/uk/iphone/battery.html for more information. Testing conducted by Apple in August 2023 using pre‑production iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max units and software and accessory Apple USB‑C Power Adapter (20W Model A2305). Fast-charge testing conducted with drained iPhone units. Charge time varies with settings and environmental factors; actual results will vary. Your home contents insurance may offer limited protection for your iPhone 13 Pro Max. For complete protection you’d need a policy with accidental damage and personal possessions cover, however.
