It’ll take a few coats of airbrushing to get solid, even coverage. But it’ll be easy going. Make sure you let each layer dry before applying the next airbrushed-layer. Can You Dry Brush Retributor Armour Metallic Gold?

Crag – I used Fuegan Orange shade, then a tiny bit of Carroburg Crimson to the edges of the crags. I then used a very thin brush to add some white to the central areas of the crags. The main red armour panels were done just like the jetbike, and the cloths and metallics were done the same way too. Greedy Gold Colour Primer’s slightly different can shape seems to indicate a different producer than the other Colour Primers. The paint applies beautifully, no special treatment needed, just apply short bursts from a distance of about 20 cm, like with any other miniature spray paint your familiar with. The coverage is great, and two thin coats are enough to cover over bare plastic. Durability is also good, as this scratch test shows. Highlight almost all the gold with Scale 75 Dwarven Gold, leaving the Necro Gold in just the recesses. Start highlighting the majority of the armour in Citadel Mournfang Brown. This is where the process becomes a bit repetitive and this step is the most time consuming because you’re painting most of the model but being careful about leaving the previous stage showing at the bottom parts of the armour panel. The gold hue is beautifully rich and orange. The metallic flakes are relatively small and slightly finer than for example Colour Forge’s Gauntlet Gold. Coarse metallic particles are often a problem of metallic spray paints, as is a glossy finish that makes paint and especially washes adhere less well. Greedy Gold Colour Primer is no different, so my tip is to apply a thin layer of matt or satin varnish by spray can or airbrush, before you start painting.
