Resize, Cropping, Levels Adjustment, White Balance Adjustment, Color Moiré Correction, Movie Edit (Cut), Movie Edit (Divide) You can shoot this way with any mirrorless camera by manually setting the lens to appropriate distance for a given aperture. But most modern cameras don’t have a reliable focus distance scales for manual focus and you have to “estimate” the distance by focusing on an object in the real world.

Compatible with P-TTL Auto Flash, Flash Mode: Flash On, Flash On+Red-eye, Slow-speed Sync, Slow Sync+Red-eye, Flash Exposure Compensation: -2.0 -+1.0 Camera shake is reduced for crisp images even when taking split-second snapshots. Shake Reduction is installed while making the body size of the GR III more compact than its predecessor model. It minimizes the shake on three axes, including yaw, pitch and roll. Compensation effects deliver as many as 4 steps of shutter speed*. The body feels just as solid as previous GR cameras, with a relatively bulbous grip around the front that allows you to get a good, secure hold. This is also coated in a tactile rubber, which continues all the way round to the rear plate were the thumb rests. The GR III might look very similar, but it's a significant update over the GR and GR II. Find out more about what's new. When preparing to shoot with the shutter button, change the point that the electronic level is hidden by the guide display. In addition to the camera, the kit includes a pair of exclusive accessories: a compact, detachable viewfinder featuring the identical metallic gray finish and a genuine-leather hand strap. The viewfinder has the number 28 imprinted on its top panel to highlight the camera’s angle of view, while the strap’s stopper is finished in orange-yellow identical to the camera’s lens barrel ring.

The dedicated end screen of "RICOH GR III Street Edition" (version 1.40) will be maintained even with the new version. The exterior finish features an elegantly grained texture created by repeatedly spraying droplets of a coating material onto the camera body. Although smooth in appearance, this special paint also helps improve camera hold. The camera is accentuated with a special edition orange-yellow ring encircling the lens barrel. Yellow-Orange was chosen as an accent color to symbolically represent "Brilliance on the street. Customize Setting] --- Two types of [Electronic Level Design] were added to [Display Customization]. The camera detects faces and focuses. This feature is enabled in [Auto Area AF], [Select AF], and [Pinpoint AF]. It is also possible to enable this feature in [Auto Area AF] only. With this setting, when you want to focus on a subject instead of faces, simply switch focus modes without turning face detect off. This feature can be added to the standard GR III model by installing function expansion firmware, which is scheduled to be released after the time of the camera’s launch.

The original special power-off graphic screen remains even after a firmware update in RICOH GR III Street Edition and RICOH GR III Diary Edition. A high-performance processor "Accelerator Unit" has been adopted on this model as a powerful way to support high image quality. The signal output by the image sensor is sent to the image processor after being optimally handled. This reduces noise, delivering superb resolution and color reproduction across the entire sensitivity range. It also makes it possible to shoot at ISO 102400. The GR III is compatible with additional accessories such as the Ricoh Wide Conversion Lens GW-4 that works with the GA-1 lens adapter to achieve a 21mm (35mm equivalent) wide-angle view, with a magnification of 0.75x.

I have no problem recommending this camera for any street shooter looking for a smaller kit that doesn’t sacrifice image quality or usability for size.

RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD. wishes to announce the release of Firmware Update Software Version 1.81 for GR III. So there’s all that – but you can get specs anywhere. I’m more interested in the character of a given camera and how it performs in the real world while shooting on the street.
