When this tents fold-out mechanisms work, its pretty impressive, when its goes wrong, you're battling a many legged beasty. This I did but they had their excuses ready saying it's not guaranteed against extreme weather. (Which it wasn't) So far have had no problems with the tent ,spent a total of 12 nights in it . Spacious sleeping compartments-able to take my Laguna Xl and wife's standard camp beds in sleeping compartment as well as camp table,chairs and cooking equip in outer compartment. The tent has, however been returned, I hope not unfairly. That is why I give only 5/10 for an otherwise well-made and designed tent.

Have used the tent 4 times last year,once setting it up in very rainy and gusty (40mph + ) conditions - I had to tether the tent while setting it up. Hinged corners mean none of the poles truly bend, greatly reducing the potential for bent poles over time. Besides spacious dark bedrooms the Instant Tent™ size 4 provides a large protected living area, large (selfrolling) windows and high quality fabrics with super-strong weather proofing. The first one I set up in the garden and it did go up very fast, it did rain and it highlighted that the seam all the way round the tent where the side walls were sewn on to the ground sheet all leaked!

I'm going to see if any repair centres could possibly put some extra vents in each side which may help to reduce the condensation problem but not too big make it always cold! On its first outing this proved vital as it did rain although light showers I was able to cook and the wife and I had somewhere to sit without getting rained on. He gave me the number of the SW England sales rep , Who could explain to me how I had put up the tent incorrectly. I go camping on my own with the kids, I also hate poles . We had a windbreak to make a bit of an enclosure and overall it felt like staying in a bigger tent. There was plenty of room for 2, any more would not be comfortable. I agree that a tarp to make an awning would have been an improvement had the weather turned. No condensation problems found in inner sleeping compartment and opening the vents and mesh in outer compartment seemed to obviate it there. The interior of the tent is a little on the smaller side, with a peak height of only 44 inches, so it is best suited for sleeping rather than socializing. It also showed the need for a porch area for somewhere to cook/and cover the doorway when getting in/out. Used a heavy duty green tarp from toolstation as a footprint, so had no underfloor moisture problems.

We had 2 SIMS in there along with a bag of clothes we could if we moved things a round a bit have both had room to sit inside on normal height chairs.This is where the Instant Tent 6 shines. it's one of the least expensive tents we've reviewed. Does it have its flaws? Sure. But it's still a great value at that price-point. If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you might want to look elsewhere, but if you live in California, Colorado, or any other state that typically sees 300+ days of sun a year, the Instant Tent 6 would be a worthy choice.
