Absolutely. You will get that extra sound dimension and deeper lows you just couldn't extort from those little speakers that come boxed in with the main unit. I would suggest a middle-of the road range of a good 8" Sub for smaller/tighter spaces and rooms and the 10" ifyou happen to listen to your M41 in a living or family room-sized environments. Hope this helps. On closer inspection, however, you’ll notice the screen is flatter than before, meaning less reflection. It isn’t immediately obvious, but placing the pair side-by-side reveals a significant improvement. But if Denon has redesigned the interior of its micro system, the same cannot be said of the façade. At a glance, the only way to tell the D-M41DAB apart from its predecessor is the CD drive and display screen have swapped places, so that the former sits above the latter – as it did prior to the D-M39.

If the D-M41DAB – which we'd again recommend pairing with the company’s designated speakers – doesn’t quite put its predecessor to shame, it certainly puts it in the shade. With one analogue input and two optical inputs, you can connect other equipment with no loss in quality. And it even features a dedicated output to connect an optional additional subwoofer (sold separately) for a whole extra dimension of sub-bass. Nice system otherwise, but with a HDD full of music, you'd be better off with something that better allows you to see and scroll through a collection. It's only rated at 2x30 watt 1khz in 6 ohm but this amp sound much bigger, musical, dynamic and with my Mission QX-2 im surprised of how much bass there is and how loud i can play, 20 out of 50 is loud, i keep it around 12-18, 30 is party level (using it together with my pc) and despite having read a review saying it, i feel it's got good control over the music even when there is alot going on it doesn't sound muddy uncontrolled. The receiver delivers high-quality sound with its 2x30W amplifier and advanced circuits that minimize distortion and noise. It also comes with a set of high-quality 2-way speakers that are optimized for the receiver's sound capabilities. yeah i'm not thinking in term of power so much, also because it will go in a small room, but more about having a more rounded full sound ....

I have just returned to the UK and was looking to buy something like this but a lot of my music is on a hard drive, which I needed to reduce space (and price) whilst overseas. If I bought this, without the USB, I would have to find some other way of connecting a lot of my more recent music. I am thinking that I will have to look elsewhere. Pity. Denon claims its brand new analogue amplifier circuit offers greater clarity and purity, with shortened signal paths and further measures to avoid sources of interference built in. If you want to connect your Hi-Fi system to a TV, games console, or TV set-top box then you'll need an optical cable. We think you'll agree our 6 Year Guarantee offers fantastic value. What's more, if you don't use it Given the merits of the D-M40DAB, it might have been risky for the company’s engineers to tinker so much with the insides of its flagship micro system. Please note: TV and larger floorstanding speaker deliveries are not available to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, and Channel Islands. Our Installation Service only includes connecting to existing points and fixings. This does not include installing or moving plumbing, connection points or electrics. I am considering buying this amplifier to use in a small size room but I am wondering which pair of speakers I should use with it. I read in your article that you advise to use the Denon SC-M41 with it but for nearly the same price I can have a bundle of the RCD-M41 with a pair of Dali Spektor 1 or Spektor 2.

There also compared to some of the older models bluetooth but no usb port, bluetooth rang is fantastic, 6-10 meter no problems which means where ever i am in my house theres no problem with the connections. Cd Player works with no disturbing noise and reacts fast to commands even stop and eject is alot faster then my older Nad C516BEE soundquality is just musical, clear open sound without sounding bright. The compact size of 210mm width and just 310mm depth (plus speakers) allows for an easy setup of the D-M41DAB on a bookshelf, in a bedroom or in the home office. With several colour combinations, it easily blends into your lifestyle, delivering impeccable performance at the same time. DrazenBab said:I would also buy, if I were you. I did, to replace my classic D-M35DAB which I owned and may I say loved for close to 18 years. The new M41 adds a whole new sonic presence and dimension, matched with my award-winning Wharfedale 11.2 stand mounts and a 10" Sub, this little giant killer is a must to behold. You know what they say, you never know what the future M42 could bring to the mix or lose in that regard. Sometimes they add few bits but drop few in the process too. If you're after built-in WiFi (which isn't a guarantee they will finally include it in the M42) you could wait, but if you are after sound quality and performance - the M41 is it! Cheers. Hi-fi equipment is hardly ever sexy, especially at the affordable end, but Denon has made the most of what it’s got. The overall aesthetic hasn’t changed hugely over the years – it’s still a rectangular metal box with grilles on the top and sides for ventilation. The front has a brushed aluminium fascia though, and the buttons and volume knob are lightly textured.
