I take time to look through pictures, 2022, suddenly very much 'the past', and those defining moments that marked our year. A year as ever full of challenges, but brimming with successes too. All our Wands are made of FSC certified wood - which means that it has been sustainably sourced (Very cool!) - and all our Bubble Ropes are made of 100% natural untreated cotton (Increadibubble!). We produce our own Dr Zigs Bubble Mix in the valleys of Snowdonia (North Wales) to a secret recipe containing 97% of distilled Welsh sea water with a little bit of added love, magic, and a trace of Welsh dragon essence. Our mixes are guaranteed phosphate and palm oil free and we work hard to reduce surfactants (not so good for the environment) whilst increasing performance. I am SO looking forward to meeting up with ALL of you wonderful friends and toy industry peeps over the next couple of weeks! And more than anything I'm looking forward to awesome buyers coming to find us :D Grateful to every single person who has played their part to make Dr Zigs what it is today. From a team of 40 people at the height of our event business, to a core of 5 women, and now to three, with a support network of outsourcing partners that is bigger than ever. Can't wait for the next chapter of Dr Zigs , to see our innovative Bubble Toys grow to become an even more global brand, to really spearhead the movement towards #sustainabletoys and to spread zillions more smiles and laughter.

The best bit of our work at Dr Zigs is sharing our love for Bubbles with all of you. Creating toys to spread laughter and joy, and with our Bubbles doing our best to make the world a better place. An invite to St James Palace (ooohhh) by the Department for International Trade (DIT), followed by the London The Toy Fair next week, then straight into the legendary Nuremberg Spielwarenmesse eG - so exciting and a LOT to do. I’d like to share some of these moments with you. I have to choose only 12 of these images to use in our annual calendar that we will print and have in the office (and a few copies for any of you who would like one too). I’m finding it so hard to narrow them down and I would love your help. I’ll share a few here - but also a link to a bunch more as an album to facebook, and see which ones you all like the most. Now, I feel like we face new territory. Like I have scaled a mountain as high as Everest. Pushing a boulder up a hill, with moments thinking I would let go, that it would overtake me, crush me. Yet, suddenly I am here. At the summit. And the world I see ahead of me is beautiful and full, so full of possibility. For me personally it’s that moment of quiet, of taking time, the lull between Christmas and New Year, when I forget what day it is, and I don’t wish to be reminded - the in-between time, and my thoughts turn to resolutions, to new starts, to hopes and dreams.Yet, that exhaustion is tinged with nostalgia already, that feel, that subtle emotion. For sharing a space, such an intense experience, with industry friends, with people living the same passion creates a complicity hard to describe. From invaluable exchanges with peers to meetings with those leading the industry, inspirations and mentors, so kind and generous with advice, encouragement and words of wisdom. Simply priceless opportunities. If you have followed our journey over the last 13 years - from my kitchen table and three kids in tow, to market stalls, to pop-ups, to garden shed, to large scale festivals, to retail, to factory, to eviction, to rehoming, to further growth, and finally to today, and to outsourcing, you will know what a ride it’s been.
