As with the Brera, there's really not a great deal I can say on the negative side, there are certainly no deal breakers. Seal or no seal OK, so you’d be forgiven for thinking I was talking trash about the Anima Prestige’s user interface earlier, but I was just poking fun. Actually, the large display and clearly labeled buttons make it really easy to operate the machine. Plus, the user interface is very intuitive, and navigating the menus is a breeze. Aside from that, all you’ll need to do is rinse all removable parts on a regular basis. I’m talking about stuff like the brew group, drip tray and used grounds collection container. Oh, and don’t neglect the water tank – unless you’re interested in growing slimy stuff in there.

The Gaggia Anima Prestige comes pre-programmed with six espresso drinks, four of which are available at a button: Espresso, Lungo, Cappuccino, and Latte Macchiato. Keep in mind that the carafe system will be less convenient if you live in a household where everyone likes different types of milk in their coffee. If you love 2% and your spouse prefers oat milk, it might make more sense to opt for the Deluxe or Base model ( 4). I have to say that operating this super automatic espresso machine is about as easy as it gets. In fact, I barely looked at the user manual during my Gaggia Anima Prestige review. It’s similar to the entry-level Gaggia Brera but with up to ten grind settings and more adjustable brewing options. The Velasca allows you to choose between three different coffee temperatures and five levels of coffee strength. The Pannarello wand can give you excellent milk foam for a cappuccino or latte.At 1.8L it's a bit bigger than the Brera. It's top loading, vs the front loading water tank on the Brera, and whether a front loading or top loading tank would work better for you would depend on whether you're putting your coffee machine under kitchen cupboards. The Magenta Prestige sits squarely in the budget category, and I’d say it represents even better value for your cash.
