Only the iO9 and 10’s travel cases offer in the case charging The iO9 and 10 can hold the handle and 1 brush head only. This is because you can charge the brush inside the case. There is no battery in the case to do this. Instead, you connect the supplied proprietary power adapter. As far as I am aware, the handle and brush heads are made in Germany. The charger and travel case is made in China.

The iO9 has a power adapter hardwired into the charging stand and a separate, detachable, adapter for the power2go case. The iO10 has just 1 detachable adapter for both the charging stand and power2go case. For most, this is not an issue. But, if you have a small mouth or crowded teeth maneuvering the iO head around will feel a bit different and in a few instances pose more of a challenge. One issue we have seen right away with the iO is that gunk and grime collect under the brush head if you leave it on after brushing. After just one session, I found a terrific amount once I took the brush head off for testing. Keeping it clean is a bit more challenging than other brushes we tested. Gunk and grime collecting under the brush head I’m having Oral B Triumph professional care 5000 for the last 10 years, I guess. Has changed battery 4 times. The round charger has no protuberance. It does have a 2 pin power adapter, and supports 100-240v. It takes up to 3 hours to recharge the brushes on this stand.
