The Classic Room is the accommodation type above Seated Coach. In other words, it’s a bed rather than a seat. Indian trains have 9 types of seat classes, which can be divided into seat carriages and sleeper carriages.

So, you might be wondering what’s the difference and is it worth upgrading to sleeping horizontally rather than sitting down? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!Your seat is reserved at the time of booking so you can’t just sit anywhere. If you’re travelling as a group, you’ll want to make one booking altogether if you want the best chance of sitting next to each other. This is the cheapest class.
