About this deal

I love these! Best price I could find, and they work super well and are a great craft, I will be buying more and I haven’t even used all of my current supply yet Thank you for the heads up about sanding shiney surfaces before colouring! I’m new to this. A few questions. Oven door open or closed? Bake paint side up? Will #1 plastic work? Thanks for your time. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. If using a heat gun, you’ll start to see your shrinky dink move and curl, as the first parts of the shrink plastic in the design shrink down. Keep moving the heat gun nozzle over the whole area of the shrink plastic to make sure it is getting heated evenly and no areas becomes scorched.

Secure your shrinky dink with a skewer or tweezers on a heat proof surface like a ceramic tile or craft mat, and apply heat with your heat gun. Keep moving the heat gun nozzle over the whole area of the shrink plastic to make sure it is getting heated evenly and no areas becomes scorched. Alternatively, you can shrink in your oven instead. Cut out the shape with scissors, keeping edges rounded – no sharp pokey bits. Remember to punch a hole if you plan to make a keyring or want to tie the shrinkie to something Color one side of the shape with a permanent marker. The color becomes more intense once it shrinks. If you are wanting to attach your shape to something don’t forget to punch a hole before placing in the oven. hi i just got shrink paper and new markers but they dont work on the shrink paper like to know why thanks Hello we tried several ways, shapes and and sizes but found that it curled too much, even pulling them out earlier and trying to straighten didn’t work. Any suggestions as to what we may be doing wrong please.

Thanks for answering my question about using #1 plastic. I will just throw out what I saved. Too bad. Draw your design on the plastic, using permanent marker. It’s best with this kind of plastic not to use colored pencils. Hands up who remembers “shrinky dinks”? Those cute little plastic charms that we used to make in the 80s! Well you can totally make your own with the kids! What you’ll need:The take around 2-3 minutes to shrink and can flip over in the process. They curl up during shrinking, so don't be worried if they do this they should soon go flat in the oven.
