Pogrund and Maguire’s stories are largely restricted to goings-on in SW1. But Corbynism was always more complicated than that. Beyond Westminster, the multitudes it brought into the Labour party included thousands of spirited, open people whose politics came not from dead Russians, but a deep desire to render politics on the left much more meaningful than the pre-Corbyn Labour party would allow. These people became members and activists for the best reasons; one of the tragedies of 2019 was how they were led into an electoral ditch. On the face of it, this might be the perspective offered by Owen Jones’s This Land, whose subtitle is The Story of a Movement. That being said, it’s still very important to gain a different perspective and obtain knowledge about our religion from other sources, such as the rejected books and gospels. This book doesn’t cover the ins and outs of the referendum campaign nor the negotiations that succeeded it. For that you’d be well advised to read Tim Shipman’s All Out War or Fall Out. What Pogrund and Maguire instead cover is the Labour Party’s internal battle to find out exactly what it wanted after the United Kingdom’s vote to leave the European Union. Labour, it’s voters and members, faced an immediate issue and some, although not all, in the leadership recognised this. Industrial northern working class seats like Workington, Blyth Valley, and even Tony Blair’s former seat of Sedgefield all voted to Leave. Meanwhile Labour’s city seats in places like London voted to Remain. Squaring this circle was an immediate problem. The wisdom that is touched on in this book refers to the wisdom of Solomon, but unfortunately it elevates that wisdom to salvation, which is something Christians can clearly see to be false teaching. Only God can save us with His grace and mercy. Ecclesiasticus This book has a bit of a fantasy element, in that a popular athlete befriends Landon, and the same friend happens to be related to a successful NFL player who takes an interest in Landon. Readers in the target audience will probably enjoy that piece, rather than question its authenticity, because it's nice for a character with so many challenges to have someone powerful in your corner.These texts provide a drastically different look on Jesus’ teaching and his life, which many frown upon. Clearly, Corbyn wasn't helped by his loyalty to some dodgy people with bad ideas and through it all, was in a constant Cold War with his own deputy Tom Watson, a man who comes across variously as a principled champion of a more moderate Labour Party and a self-interested, self-obsessed, two-faced, scheming tosser.

This proves to be more challenging for him due to coaches, teammates, peers, and the principal. Giving him some relief from all the negativity and bullying is his family especially his younger sister and several new friends who see past Landon's hearing issues.
