About this deal

Warranty claims for product defects expire 90 days after opening a warranty claim. It is not possible to process a warranty claim for items that have expired their original warranty timeframe or 90-day warranty claim request period, whichever is longer. This isn’t an issue in 2023. Most guns can go for a week or two on a single charge. Also, bigger batteries tend to add to the weight of the device. When we first started using massage guns, we were looking for a strong massage but were unsure where to start. From our experience, we believe this device would be a great option for beginners in a similar situation.

While it’s not uncommon, the M3 Pro Max does include a powerful 24V brushless motor. In this case, the Max lives up to its name by the inclusion of a 15mm amplitude massage head with 55lbs of stall force. What stands as the best massage gun of 2023? We hope our analysis has led you to a definitive answer.

What I like

If you’re going to be incorporating a massage gun into your routine, you want something that’s intuitive and easy to use. A quality device should have clear instructions for seamless operation. Some, like the Theragun Prime, even include app compatibility with how-to guides and instructional videos. Both strenuous exercise and hours of sittingcan cause muscle tightness, soreness, and sometimes even pain. These symptoms may be a result of low oxygen levels and built-up lactic acid in the muscles, Wu says. Ensure you invest in a device with a better warranty for peace of mind. We recommend buying from Ekrin Athletics or Lifepro; both brands offer a lifetime warranty. The Opove massager is very simple to use; the attachments pull off and push and push on; the M3 has an on/off switch and a nice LED display that shows which of the 3 speeds are active. The speed/frequency goes up to 3200rpm and that is in line with the competition. Even at the highest frequency setting, the noise levels are ‘fairly quiet’ and officially stated as 55db. One thing we like about Achedaway’s top gun is how they stay true to the advertised specs (most aspects aren’t overstated).

We’ve had our Achedaway gun for nearly two years now, and have been consistently impressed with it. It’s a different proposition if you would rather not use Ekrin B37/B37S – a high amplitude gun over a medium amplitude Ekrin. You get 4 nicely varied attachments. We mostly use the flat attachment. The bullet attachment is great for trigger points, and we use the super-soft ball attachment on sensitive areas. There is a small and handy carrying case included.Interestingly, they are now adding liquid maintenance to the new-gen Theragun Pro. They instruct users to add a few drops of the liquid every few months to keep the device quiet. Theragun Pro G5 QuietForce Solution. Before we can delve into some of the problems you may experience with your massage gun, we first have to say a few things. The percussion range is also Theragun-ish. We measured 1460-2460rpm, when Ekrin and Achedaway both max out at 3200rpm and 2750 rpm, respectively. If your massage gun is blinking red while charging, it could mean that the battery is dead and needs to be replaced. But note, for massage guns with non-removable batteries, you may not be able to replace the battery. Ball – This is used to work large muscle groups. It can be used for a general massage as well provided you don’t overdo it on bony areas. The one here is made of silicone rubber, which should make it last longer. We have seen too many of the attachments with a soft EVA foam wear out pretty fast, and we are glad Opove didn’t go the easy route here.

A regular massage is typically administered by a certified massage therapist. You can book the experience both at home or in-studio, but it tends to be costly. During a regular massage, therapists use their hands, fingers, and thumbs to glide, knead, and stretch—usually treating the whole body.

Performance-wise, the best massage gun has to have the right amplitude, enough percussions per minute, and a strong motor to withstand some pressure. Here’s the recommended use for each attachment right out of the manual. #1 (the big ball) and #5 (the soft head) are the ones that we’ve found to be the most comfortable. The other three are hard plastic heads. Again I admit that I am a newbie to this sort of treatment, but I have found those hard plastic attachments to be way too intense for regular use.
