Description

One of the antioxidants found in olive oil, calledHydroxytyrosol, has been found to have strong antifungal properties against Candida albicans. It’s able to damage the cell walls of Candida cells as well as inhibit germ tube formation. Germ tubes allow yeast cells to feed, so by damaging them, Hydroxytyrosol kills Candida cells. To use it as a deodorant, simply apply it under your arms and anywhere else that is prone to sweat and body odor. When the blood is ozonated, ozone reacts with all soluble antioxidants and poly unsaturated fatty acids and oxides them.[ 3] This mechanism suggested that some liquid oils may be used in treatment of various pathologies after ozonation. This treatment potential may be existed thanks to the presence of unsaturated double bonds of fatty acids in these liquid oils that would be ozonated. As a result of reactivity of ozone, ozone oxides these double bounds and one oxygen atom joins unsaturated double bounds. Oxygen source: Either an oxygen tank or an oxygen concentrator can be used. Given that ozonating oil can take up to several weeks (depending on the desired ozone saturation and consistency of the end product), the amount of oxygen can be substantial. For that reason oxygen concentrators have an advantage over oxygen tanks since they never run out of oxygen and do not need to be refilled. Oxygen flows of 1/2 LPM are adequate.

A successful batch of ozonated olive oil should take only 24 – 72 hours to produce. Ideally 24 – 48 hours. More time allows more impurities to enter the system. The skin is the largest organ of the body and is the major barrier between the inside and outside of our body. It is formed of two main layers: the epidermis, a thin outer portion, and the dermis, the connective tissue layer of skin. This portion is involved in the thermoregulation process, and the resident dermal fibroblasts secrete collagen, elastin, and substances that offer support and elasticity of the skin. The epidermis is subdivided into four layers: (i) the stratum germinativum (SG) that provides the germinal cells necessary for the regeneration of epidermidis; (ii) the stratum spinosum (SS), in which the cells divided in the SG start to accumulate many desmosomes on their surface; (iii) the stratum granulosum (SGR), in which the keratinocytes accumulate dense basophilic keratohyalin granules that contain lipids, which help to form a waterproof barrier; and (iv) the stratum corneum (SC), the outermost layer, in which the cells are dead. The skin is constantly exposed to the environmental stress of pollutants or cigarette smoke, for example, so it is necessary for the wellness of the skin to preserve it from oxidative stress. To this purpose, there are a variety of antioxidants that include glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, catalases, and nonenzymatic low-molecular weight antioxidants such as vitamin E isoforms, vitamin C, glutathione (GSH), uric acid, and ubiquinol. Interestingly, the distribution of antioxidants in the SC follows a gradient with higher concentrations in deeper layers [ 51]. Sterilize and disinfect areas from various pathogens and microbes (ie. treating wounds that have become infected) The December 2019 review I found noted that oils such as “thyme, sesame, soybean, coconut, hemp seed, grape seed, jojoba, sweet almond, peanut, macadamia, rice bran, avocado, flax seed, pumpkin seed, and safflower seed” have all been ozonated and have patents on their respective processes.(5) Oxygen concentrator: Most oxygen concentrators will allow for flows of 1/2 LPM. A low flow regulator is not necessarily required.Nakae D, Kobayashi Y, Akai H, Andoh N, Satoh H, Ohashi K, Tsutsumi M, Konishi Y. Atherosclerosis. 1996; 120:15-23 As a topical massage paste, the ozonated oil acts as a natural antioxidant which allows for toxins and lactic acid to be released from your pores which cleanses the skin and helps get rid of dirt and bacteria.

Ozonation can be performed on other oils as well. There is ozonated jojoba oil, ozonated coconut oil, ozonated almond oil, and several other ozonated oils. These all have roughly the same effect and purpose. Consider this: your body absorbs up to 60% of what you put on your skin right into your bloodstream. With our pure ozonated oil products, you’ll notice the difference: in immediate therapeutic relief as well as quality of your skin’s look and feel over time. There is also the question of whether the Oil has been ozonated enough. Properly ozonated olive oils (like those used in studies) should lose color and become more viscous. (3) Benefits of Ozonated Olive Oil Adams, A. (n.d.). Are there benefits of ozonated olive oil? This is done simply by flowing oxygen though an electrically charged tube.

So if you struggle with dysbiosis within your skin’s microbiome, this could be a really helpful option to test out. Journal of Nutrition. 2006; 136:614-619 It is produced by using very high quality, cold pressed virgin olive oil which is put through a manufacturing process referred to as ‘ozone injection’. This process involves bubbling the ozone into the oil for a fairly extended period until it is ready for use. One study showed that “almost 100% of S. aureus were eliminated by ozonated oil following 5 min. Almost 100% MRSA were eliminated by ozonated oil following 15 min.” PurO3 Ozonated Olive Oil is powerful and fully saturated with ozone. It is made in the USA under strict controls using only organic and natural ingredients. There is a reason PurO3 is the leader in ozonated oils.In 1904 Nikola Tesla became the first person to market ozonated oil and pharmacies across the world started selling it under its commercial name ‘Glycozone’. As a Deodorant

The acidity, peroxide, and iodine values of the ozonated olive oil were 8.07 mg KOH/g oil, 105.2 meq O 2/Kg, and 44.8 g I 2/100 g, respectively. The ozonated olive oil showed high acid and peroxide values, indicating its high oxidizing power potential. On the other hand, the low iodine value indicated the successful ozonation of olive oil as the addition of ozone decreased the number of double bonds [ 24, 25]. Because of its antioxidant actions, ozonated olive oil can also be used to eradicate some of the signs of aging like wrinkles and diminish the appearance of age spots. Other Uses for the Skin include: Thus, ozone is infused into specific oils to instill some of these properties so that they can be used topically.
