But having listened to the Liberty Neo for a solid month, I can confirm that, although not revolutionary, they get enough right to meet the needs of most budget buyers. You can’t connect them to two devices at the same time. You have to disconnect them first and then reconnect them to some other Bluetooth enabled device. What Bluetooth Codecs Do They Support? The custom Graphene drivers offer decent enough tonal balance. Listening to orchestral arrangements the highs, mids and lows are suitably separated and offer enough detail for casual listening. Stereo image is non-existent, but what do you expect at this price?

I’m extremely meticulous when it comes to the headphones’ sound quality. And I’m not disappointed in terms of the sound quality. The Anker Life A1 is the best-sounding economical earbuds. It provides three custom sound modes. Comfort-wise, the Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo are great. They are very light, weighing only 5.5 grams per earbud. In the box, you get 2 sizes of ear fins and one silicon cover with no fin. This prevents the hard plastic from touching the skin. They don’t irritate your ears even after a few hours of listening. Charger failure. Same as above, try different charger, one known to work, with a cable known to work. Ports may get clogged so be sure what is plugging into the Neo case is verified to be charging fast something else (e.g. phone). If you’re looking for excellent noise-cancelling buds or ones for work calls, we wouldn’t recommend them, either. The mic isn’t top-notch at noise cancellation or capturing your voice with crystal clarity, both of which are vital when talking with current or potential clients. The Liberty Neo is the cheapest TWS within Soundcore's lineup, but it still sounds good for the price. It's just... that music is a bit dry. When it all comes together, the Neo can't quite grasp the individual frequencies' presence and detail. The average soundstage fills itself with all sound, and upper-mids and highs get a bit of hiss over them - the main reason the music can be a bit dry. The next, Bass Booster that great for people who bass lovers. This mode provides a strong and deep bass. At 3.5 hours per charge, these are not the longest-lasting out there, but this should be enough for a decent walk, workout session, or a few episodes on Netflix.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo Review | Tested by GearLab

However; the sound quality of Anker SoundCore Life A1 is not an audiophile. But it is good enough and is better than other cheap wireless earbuds. Like the Galaxy Buds, the Echo Buds’ motherboard is folded around a plastic housing where the button-cell battery resides. Flashing LEDs let you see how much of the battery life is still in the buds. A white light indicates a high battery, red light indicates a low battery. Sadly this is the only information you get, besides the female voice, telling you the battery is high or low every time you put them out of the case. You also can’t see the battery percentage anywhere on your phone. Being a bit older of a device, there are already cheaper options available that perform better in most, if not, some areas in comparison to the Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo.The hard plastic housing of the buds shows no noticeable weak points and appears durable. The only problem spot is the lid on the charging case. For example, the much more affordable XIAOWTEK A40 Pro Wireless Earbuds come with a sleek charging case for up to 50 hours of playtime — and feature noise cancellation. We also found it inconvenient that you can’t adjust the volume directly with the device. Instead, you’ll have to use your paired smartphone to control the sounds. The 33% cheaper Satily Store Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds come in a slim case, provide noise reduction, they're waterproof — and look similar to the popular Apple Airpods.

Liberty Neo’s have just enough soundstage so that the music doesn’t sound like it’s playing in your head. The instrument separation and imaging are also quite decent. We liked the fact that the charging case has three indicator lights on the front to show you how many charges you have left. This is quite a useful feature, making it that much easier to avoid an accidental and disastrous low-battery situation. Price

Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo can please a wide range of users. They are not groundbreaking in terms of the sound quality, but for the casual non-audiophile listeners, they should be more than enough. Why Buy Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo? We also wouldn’t advise using them during extremely vigorous exercise or swimming, either. Depending on how well they fit you, they may or may not fall out. So, play it by ear and see how comfortable you feel wearing them during these activities before you lose one. The earbuds are equipped with long battery life. Soundcore by Anker Life A1 earbuds can operate for 9 hours on a single charge. On top of that, it offers 35 hours of complete playtime through the case. Outdoor runners will be pleased to hear the Liberty Neo generally offer a wonderfully stable connection. The only time I suffered regular dropouts was when moving through busy signal areas – train and underground stations, for example. The audio quality is pretty good, considering the price range. They are slightly bassy, but not as strong as best bass earbuds. The low end has a good punch, but it isn’t very fast or detailed. The latter is showing mostly in progressive music or metal, but it works just fine with EDM and other popular genres.

Pairing for the first time is also a breeze. All you have to do is to put both earbuds out of the case. This initiates the pairing mode, which makes them visible in your phone’s Bluetooth search menu. Buds themselves can hold up to 3.5 hours of battery life, with the charging case adding an extra 19 hours (24 in total). In our test, we got around 5 hours out of them. This is a better battery life than expected but still somewhat average compared to the competition. Thankfully the case isn’t too big: you can easily take it with you.Apart from this, the set also comes with four sets of ear tips and ear wings for you to fine-tune your fit. As such, we found these buds very enjoyable to wear while relaxing, walking, running, and exercising, too. Though not as good as some premium earbuds, it's still quite a spectacular set for this price. The boosted bass and clarity it offers are all that a casual music listener really needs. Now, the Liberty Neo does have a decent mid-bass slam, which gives a steady thump in especially more modern music genres such as dance, pop, and hip-hop. Yet, it doesn't go as deep as on the other Soundcore models. It can rumble at times, but it doesn't reach the darkest tones, the deepest depths.
