Throughout the novel, Briar Rose discovers her own sexuality and becomes comfortable with her new role as a sexual submissive. Feminist theorists have focused on Sleeping Beauty's extreme passivity and the sexual nature of her awakening in the fairy tale. Alexi previously had been a stubborn prince who fought back all the attempts to break him, until the Queen sent him to the kitchen to have him tortured by crude kitchen servants. Beauty is, of course, Sleeping Beauty and her awakening by the prince is pretty much rape, which is how the original story was told anyway. It gets a tiny bit repetitive at times because there is just so much spanking and sex crammed into it, but I think you only mind that if you're reading the whole book in a sitting and I really doubt most people do that more than once.

The moral of Alexi's story notwithstanding, Beauty willfully disobeys, and the book closes with her being sentenced to brutal slavery in the neighboring village while her master weeps. The aim is to give suggestions and recommendations on all the latest updates in the world of books, movies and TV shows.
