I put my abomination on passive, ran around and pulled heaps, continually making my abomination to fart to keep them following, and then when i had a nice number i blew them up.

My success rate jumped when I followed the tips here, and it can never hurt to try them out for yourself if you are having trouble getting credit. Collect mobs as normal (and obviously make sure to leave some health buffer on the abom) and then flatulence and WAIT UNTIL ALL MOBS ARE UNSTUNNED. Also it seemed to me that you need to blow your abom up right after using the knockdown ability to get a credit.
