I kept it on my Kindle as a reward for finishing NaNoWriMo (which also explains why my blog has been even deader than usual) so only got around to reading it in December. We mainly use Royal Mail Tracked 48 Service for goods which weight less then 2kg, all other goods will be delivered by a Courier. I listen to a lot of audio books and sometimes the way a narrator voices a character just doesn't sit right with me. THE PLOT: ‘The Seven Sisters’ by Lucinda Riley is historical women’s fiction about the adopted daughters of a mysterious millionaire.

After his death, each of the sisters gets an allowance that allows them to lead a decent life without frills, as well as information about places related to their origin. It's a simple story of seven adopted sister's finding out who and where they come from as their rich adoptive father has passed and left them each an envelope with a letter and some coordinates. From the first chapter of the book, the author gives us a character sketch of all the six sisters along with their nurse and their father to understand about their behavior briefly.

Each of them is handed a tantalising clue to their true heritage – a clue which takes Maia across the world to a crumbling mansion in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. I loved how the clues were managed and, most importantly, that this series will only rely on telling each sister's story separately.Particularly the way that six people from his past (who each happened to have incredible stories worthy of their own books) just happened to have ancestors in need of adoption is insanely unlikely and was my biggest question. The goods do not need to be in their original packaging however in a sellable condition, and at your own cost and risk.

It kind of bothers me that he comes op with the nickname 'Bo' as a reference to his violin bow, even though the French word for it is 'archet', which isn't similar at all to bow. Because the sisters are from all over the world and also because we skipped a few generations and went to Izabela’s great grand-mother just to have a story around Cristo Redentor and not her mother or grandmother. This story has many layers and each intricately layered is written with enough compassion and depth. The beautiful recluse who must learn to love again – set in La Belle Epoque of 1920’s Rio and Paris, and present-day Lake Geneva. I've read the second book and the minor character that I mentioned and wondered about in the first novel doesn't appear in the second one.As the eldest, Maia’s clue takes her to Rio Janeiro where she begins to put together her family’s story.

We have also listed the titles of the The Seven Sisters books in case you would prefer to look for the one you're after by title. It morphs into the mystery of the eldest sister on a quest to find her birth parents and then transports the reader to the past, where our main character has to choose between love and duty. There is no subtext, the person who adopted the girls acted in accordance with the downright Dickensian principles of charity, and created truly heavenly conditions for them. But Pa Salt is dead now and acting upon his dying wish to trade back to their own roots, Maia embarks on a Brazilian journey, where she not only discovers love, but also learns about one of the greatest legend of Brazil.
