I've seen chatter about the shimmer eyeshadows being hollow, but I didn't find that to be true--they seemed denser and reactive like a cream eyeshadow, e. It has been years since the original palette was released and technology and her resources have changed. I don’t find the top row of shimmer shades particularly hard to work with – I usually just use my finger. When Huda Beauty announced last summer it was discontinuing its beloved Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette, I have to admit I was completely confused.

The only downside being that they needed to be applied with your finger for the best results and this caused controversy for some of the beauty world. Huda fixed all the reasons people didn't like this palette, from the packaging, the no mirror, everything. Many, if not all, of the metal shades had a weird dip in the middle, like the sunken middle in cakes if you open the oven too early. That aside, the packaging is so worth the money – there’s a mirror, the cardboard is much sturdier than the first edition, and overall it’s feels much more luxurious. The issue I have is that the metals are a little more troublesome to apply – I like being fuss-free and I don’t like to use my fingers especially if I’m rushing in the mornings, so this will be a special event kind of palette when I can spend some time dolling up, but they are stunning if you do have the time to do so.The foil shades are amazing and also super pigmented but would deffo recommend using your finger to apply these! The eye shadows are placed in a thin black magnetic palette which has flip opening, it has no mirror . The pans are glued down quite securely into their grooves and I think it would have been easier if you had some sort of heating element to melt the glue a little before attempting to pry them out. That meant we weren’t able to spend on things like the packaging so that we could invest more in the quality of the eyeshadows. But I put it aside as soon as I opened the palette because -let’s be real- I don’t want to have stuff falling out when I open it.

I guess with so many lovely products coming out and with Christmas round the corner, I can’t justify the purchase. The metallic shades can easy to clean with the tip of the fingers for a "stronger finish be used with: 18x shades. The huda beauty rose gold textured eyeshadow palette comes in a black slide out case featuring signature huda beauty eye logo, the logo has rose gold accent on the lids which makes it look pretty however its just a slide out cover. All of the shades swatched extremely well with limited amounts of fall out on my arm, or kick back in the pan. The metallic shadows feel a lot like a cream-to-powder product and the best way to use these is with fingers or a dense stiff brush.

They claim to be talc free and I must say they are extremely pigmented ,soft and blend really well , I love the formula of matte eyeshadows in this palette it just has perfect almost velvety texture , there is no fallout nor kickback in these . After the recent ‘Easy Bake’ fiasco, it’s safe to say Huda has had a tough few months in the beauty community but ‘Hudaholics’ and the Huda Beauty fam seemed to have pulled together. Like a lot of cream eyeshadows, fingertips tend to apply the most coverage and do the best for diffusing and blending edges, but that obviously yields less precision if one wants to use more than one shade on the lid. I’m happy that Huda remastered this palette, but I do not think that everyone that already owns the original needs to run out and purchase this.
