Once inside, Constantine finds what he's looking for, the Spear of Destiny, which he then uses to injure the goddess Rama Kushna and then Ragman's cloak to absorb Deadman's soul before leaving. In the Oblivion Bar, John Constantine laments the current situation to Detective Chimp before deciding it is time to be a hero. Mister Miracle convinces Green Canary to let Big Barda be the first test subject and she is subsequently healed when Jon injects the cure into her.

Instead of a rapid downhill slide, characters work together to devise a plan to turn the anti-life equation into a life equation (and prevent a band of villains in Australia from ruining everything). Having finally been cured, Barda is happily reunited with her husband and is shocked to find out it's been 5 years since her infection. The threat of the Amazo robots while Trigon is invading and them having find a cure to the virus and what that entails and the drama there and so many high stakes its brilliant, the way Jon and Damian are written is awesome but its constantine who steals the show and its one of the best re-reads I have had and it just gets better everytime. Jason Blood, who is also in the bunker, tells Constantine that Trigon is coming to destroy the Earth since the Anti-Life is preventing people from dying.Damian deduces that if there was an anti-life equation, there is logic to assume that there is a life equation, but only thing was to find a way to unlock it. DCeased was probably one of the first DC comics I thoroughly enjoyed so when I saw the entire series was on KU, I was so excited.

Using his super-speed, Wally is able to mass-produce the cure and he and Jon attempt to deliver it to as many people as possible before they are destroyed by the Amazos or by Trigon, who manifests in Paris. As the days pass, the heroes in the Fortress of Solitude begin to hear a ringing in their ears before Luthor is suddenly bisected. Batman explains to the group that the infected are not zombies, because they are not consumed by hunger. For some heroes, hope is the driving force of their actions and that alone is enough to send them down dangerous roads to once again taste what is now nothing but a glorious memory of hope, peace, and love.Damian is able to enter the flagship's throne room, where a fight almost breaks out between them, but Jon stops him and begin negotiations with his mother Lois, now leading those on Earth 2.

With the major threats dealt with, Flash finished up injecting the remaining infected, however the remaining members of the League took over to help inject the rest of the world. Each edition collects the six issue original DCeased mini-series and DCeased: A Good Day to Die one-shot. The remaining characters finally relax, but not before erecting a statue of the fallen villains, as a memorial for their sacrifice. Fate and Mary take Jon to be cared for, while Dinah brings what remains of the ship to Ivy's safe haven, where Damian meets up with Jason Todd and Cassandra Cain. Tom Taylor is a mastermind when it comes down to writing action stories with deep motivations and character portrayals that do matter. While Robert Kirkman’s Marvel Zombies had more laughs and, arguably, more blood and guts, DCeased was a pretty decent story that certainly tugged on the heart strings a lot more, to its credit. Taking place five years after the end of the first series, the new Justice League of Earth-2 unexpectedly received a cryptic signal from their home planet sent by Cyborg, leading them to embark on a mission to rescue their old friend in a dying world now overrun with the unliving. DCeased: Dead Planet collects issues 1-7 of the series written by Tom Taylor with art by Trevor Hairsine.
